I have over 9000 tracks and SC gets them all. Are you running iTunes on Windows or Mac.? Is SC running on the same box or another box, if so how are they connected.? Personally, I have my iTunes software running on a Mac mini with a read-only view to a share on my storage server (don't want iTunes to screw up my tags). Yea, I have 4x 1.5Tb drives - but before I installed them, I made sure they were updated with the correct firmware. The problem is that most users have no idea what a firmware update is. Even those that do, don't know if they need one or not. Thanks, I do have Treat Multi-disc sets as single album set, but not my tags. [slim] SqueezeCenter and multi-disk albums
I have an issue with SC listing several albums for each disk that I have for a single album. iTunes shows the album as one album and SC is set to use iTunes. I have also set the following options as shown... [ ] List compilation albums under each artist [x] Group compilation albums together [ ] List albums by all artists for that album [x] List albums by band [ ] Treat TPE2 MP3 tag as Band [x] Treat TPE2 MP3 tag as Album Artist Can anyone suggest what I can do, or what I am doing wrong. What I am asking is... is the SC just a bunch of perl scripts, or is it an actual application.? I currently use the original Buffalo TeraStation 1Tb box From (but not shown) http://www.buffalo-technology.com/products/network-storage/terastation/ It's a 4x250Gb Disk RAID5 box giving me about 700Gb of storage (completely full at the mo). [slim] SqueezeCenter (Mac) and Perl
I am running SC on my Mac Mini. I also run a firewall called Little Snitch. Little Snich reports that the Perl tool is accessing the internet everytime SC want access. Now, while I do want SC accessing various internet addresses, I don't want a generic tool having access. Is there anything that can be done to distinguish that SC is requesting access, or is everything just lots of Perl scripts.??
