Yep happened to me too Tried everything but a full reset. Then I left it powered off and went into my bedroom to try my other radio and all worked fine. Of course then I thought, oh great my main one died. Lo and behold when I turned it back on white symbol was there and all is well. Just a preview I guess of things to come when the squeezebox server goes bye bye and we all have to update to the UE version. Happens to me as well. I have gotten it to work sometimes by pushing the FF button. When that doesnt work I just push another preset and then back to the one I want. 99% of the time this works, and if it doesnt then I repeat till it does. I THINK it may have something to do with Iheart as the only station this happens to me is an Iheart and since Logitech seems to not be interested in releasing an Iheart app ( yeah yeah yeah I have read the excuses they gave) I guess it is something we have to live with. Try deleting your cache folder and try again... Try doing a wipe and rescan. I have had this happen as well ONLY using the built in server on the Touch. So I either do a wipe and rescan or I delete the cache folder on my attached USB drive.. Works for me... I am also currently using 7.7.0_r9532 as NONE of the 7.6.1 releases worked for me. It ALWAYS failed on the scaning of artwork with the local service has stopped due to an error, error. Even if I do NOT have any SB server installed on my PC?? Which I do not. I only use the server built into the Touch with a HD connected. This way I can listen to music with having my PC on... So if I have no PC connected how to I revert back? Can I copy the old file to the HD connected to the Touch and do it from there? Nah not worth the hassle. One would think since it is a standalone server it should be able to downgrade if th file is available on a drive connected to it. Oh well. I guess I will just wait for a new firmware to be released... HA I was JUST going to post I called support and was told to put fab4.bin on an SD card and reboot the Touch. That did the trick. I KNEW there had to be a way of doing it via the Touch's built in server. I assume you have checked to make sure the time is correct on your PC? When I set up a SB Radio for my mom a few months ago, no time. I went upstairs to her PC and adj. the time ( it was way off) and still no time on the SB.. [slim] Pandora and Sirius question
I know Pandora does not stream higher than 128 and the same with Sirius. I have a premium ( highter bit rate) with Sirius and yet it still only streams at 128. So my question is.. Why bother paying for a premium subscription for both of these services if all you do is stream them to your SB??? Pandora says they are small and can't afford to stream at a higher bit rate ( which makes no sense since they say they can stream to your PC at a higher rate for $36 a year). Sirius never got back to me when I asked why cant I stream to my Touch at a higher bit rate when I am paying for the premium service now and it plays back on my PC at the higher bit rate but not my SB. Yep have the internet option and that is where I am able to hear, I ASSUME, is 192 as opposed to 128 bit rate. Yet when I log into Sirius from my Touch and check the info it shows it streaming at 128. Seeing how Sirius nickel and dimes everything I would not doubt they charge another fee for that. Oh well. Hopefully Pandora will start streaming at a higher rate on the SB one day as well. Prior to their new interface, one had the option to switch between standard and preimum and the difference was noticable. However that option is no longer there so it is possible they no longer stream at 192. Which sucks as I didnt get any refund for NOT getting the preimum sound... Oh well.. Good point since it never said what the preimum bit rate was. All I know is the premimum sounds much better than standard. I just assumed DOH... [slim] Duet or Touch
Since I sent my Boom back to Logitech, and they no longer make it, I have a choice of waiting for the Booms replacement ( could be MONTHS) or take a Touch or a Duet in its place. From what I have seen online I am leaning towards the Touch because of the USB and SD card input. Since I am Boomless I started hooking up some old audo equipment and like how it sounds. Not top of the line like I used to have 30 or so years ago, but plesant enough ( Mirage SM-2.5 speakers which I had to re-foam the woofers first). So that is why I am thinking of not waiting for the BoomII, or whatever it is called ( son of Boom? :) So any ideas to help me lean in the right direction?
