I upgraded my three Squeezebox radios to UE, and all went well. But I notice on mysqueezebox.com that the orphaned Squeezebox radios are still listed but with notation that they have been converted to UE. My iPhone 5 just updated the squeezebox app for the iPhone. Just like before, it scans for players and doesn't find any. All you have is a blank screen, just like before. Did they even test this before they released it. Hmm... MySQL is either not running or not accessible. Could you please
run the following command from the terminal?
ps ax | grep mysql
What does it return?
Also: could you please try to run SBS from the command line? This would
give us more information:
cd /Library/PreferencePanes/Squeezebox.prefPane/Contents/server/
./slimserver.pl -d_startup

[slim] Server will not start with Lion
Just updated to Lion. When I launch Squeezebox server it tries to start up but then stays stopped. I was using the latest version, and downloaded it again and reinstalled, just to be sure. When I look at album view in My Music every track of the album is listed as a separate album. So an album with 10 tracks would list 10 tines as the same entry. This also happens when you drill down via the Artist view, too. Has this been reported? Sorry if it has. Same here.Had a Roku Soundbridge for a few years, and loved it, until one day it died. I discovered the Squeezebox Duet, and while it's more expensive than the Roku, it's worth every dollar! It runs circles around the Roku in features, can do EVERYTHING the Roku ever did and can do much, much more. My girlfriend, who is illiterate when it comes to tech, can operated the Duet Controller. I was so impressed that I just bought a Boom and put it on the patio. I synchronize the Receiver to the Boom and the music flows through the entire house. Don't hesitate to get the Squeezebox. No. If you have XM radio, you now need to pay for the XM internet radio feed. But it's NOT the same as the Sirius internet radio feed. Unfortunately, the Squeezebox only supports the Sirius radio feed natively. I called XM and asked if I could get the Sirius version of the feed, but they said that the two systems are still separate for the time being. There is an XM radio plug in which works fine, but it only works with SqueezeCenter (not a problem for me).
