Re: [slim] My 2 Squeezeboxe Classic went suddenly crazy - they don't start a music title

2014-10-29 Thread cege

@ bpa
Ok, I checked this and the information in Setup/Information@Squeezebox
Classic is exactly corresponding with the @Webinterface.
Firmware is 137
There are no problems to connect either with LMS or MYSB.com -
everything is fine until I expect hearing something or see the clock
starting

@ toby10
Tried your suggestion and it reconnects fine to MYSB.com (as it did
before).
I can choose a radio station, display states buffer filling, then the
music title is being displayed, but the neither the clock is running nor
a simple tone is coming out, VU-meter is somewhere in the middle.

[slim] My 2 Squeezeboxe Classic went suddenly crazy - they don't start a music title

2014-10-27 Thread cege

Hi, I just ran into a strange thing. Both classic Squeezeboxen went out
of order the same time, I checked them.
It's not a complete breakdown, which is even more odd.
Everything is fine... box is starting, connecting, displaying..., but
when I try to start a title, they won't start
... and it's independent from the way of their connection, either to my
server (@Synology) or th mysqueezebox.com.
I can navigate, either with the remote control directly or trough the
webinterface or an app like squeezecommander - everything appears to be
normal, but they won't start music.
Also changed the way of connection to the a/v receiver (analoge or
digital), no sound, no vu-meter working, no time scale running.
I tried factory reset several times, different connection ways,
different control ways ... it drives me crazy, since my daughter claimed
the Touch and I have nothing for my listening room :(

So, what's the catch here?
Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply, Toby. Yes, I did eveything, you mentioned and I
had really hope in that manually connect to mysb.com thing (because I
thought, maybe it's the server), but it's the same result
unfortunately.
I tried different stations, they connected, showed me the title playing,
but again: *no start*!
Touch, Radio and Boom are working both ways fine - not even a slightly
similar behaviour, like the classics...

Re: [slim] How many of you have spare squeezeboxes?

2012-09-06 Thread cege

1 SB3 classic, which was replaced by a Touch, is now my only spare
unit.
I'm looking for another Touch and I'm waiting for people giving up the
sequeezebox series, once the news have been spreaded wide.
But probably a lot of other people are thinking similar ;)

Re: [slim] Squeezebox (and others) on IFA trade show in Berlin

2011-09-03 Thread cege

Had similar thoughts while visiting the Logitech area at IFA Berlin.
Btw: the former well knowledged Squeezebox-man which had presented
all the good squeezestuff in the past was now talking about the
Harmonys etc. instead. Shame on you, Logitech.
And I'm afraid, Logitech will loose in both areas by the way.
Smartphones and their connectivity to other media devices will exchange
squeeze* and remote control* with all-in-one-control-devices like
Android- and I- phones and pad/tabs in the next months. The still
available advantages will fade away until Logitech is not inventing
some new genoius features.

I currently own a touch, a boom, a radio and 2 classics and I'm still
more or less happy with it. But I could immediately switch at least in
my music room to pairing my Onkyo-Receiver and the Galaxy SII in order
to browse my music either on the phone/internet or on an attached
harddrive and play it with the receiver.

So please, Logitech, do something! Let's get it started!

Re: [slim] [ANNOUNCE] SqueezeCommander 0.9 for Android

2010-12-09 Thread cege

I just bought a Galaxy Tab and I can confirm, the current
SqueezeCommander is working well.
But nevertheless, there is room for improvements due to the higher
resolutions, which are available on tab's.
So I will check a new tab version, as soon as it comes out.

Probably there is a bonus for current users ;)
