As I just had the same problem after upgrading from MacOS X 10.8.5 to to
the current 10.9 build, I would recommend checking the firewall

perl 5.16 the same access right 5.12 had solved my problems.

I would recommend either Squeezeplay or iTunes (or both). They work

Both may be controlled by their respective iOS remote control apps,

exactly when I get home, I would like to have the ability to transfer

As long as broadcasting companies exists and want to get payed and
payed by commercials, a TV solution aren't going to work unless you
find a way to include them in the deal. The current model broadcasting
companies are using are of course a dead end, people don't want to pay
for 100% content when they only are able to view 5% because the rest is
sent when they don't have the time to see it or they aren't basically
interested in most of the stuff on a specific channel. Yes, I know you
have Tivo in US, but here in Euorope we have to make our own Tivo box
with MythTV or similar if we what that kind of functionality. IMHO
opinion it will work to pay with a monthly subscription fee as we do
today but we really need to be able to choose when and where we want to
view the TV. I like to be able to view it in my iPhone when I'm outside
or view it in the evening even if it was broadcast during the day and I
want to view old shows whenever I like.
 ...

I agree with you. Here in Germany dvb-t is still freely available but
most digital HD content is already encrypted and broadcasters are
trying to limit both recording (to 90 min in the past) and fast
forwarding (so that one has to watch all the ads) of digital HD
content. The media companies are also trying to charge big bucks for
this crippled system. I sure hope they will fail, but considering how
gullible many people are (and that these large high res LCD TVs are
getting more and more commonplace) they might even succeed. :(

I use the binary from the MPlayer OSX Extended.app (and have patched

P.S.: What files would I have add if I were to decide on a real

Ok, here is a first version that should work both on MacOS X and Linux
(no Windows support yet). For MacOS X it assumes the MPlayer OSX
Extended.app to be in /Applications/MPlayer/. Tested on a Intel MacMini
with MacOS X 10.6.3 SBS 7.6 installed. :)

I use a d-link DIR-655 as a wlan access point (when needed). It works
pretty well, but I prefer my devices to be wired - the wired router
uses 2W instead of the 12W the AP uses.

I usually use either the ir-remote or ipeng when using the SB3
(sometimes also the web ui if I have neither handy). The Radio gets
controlled locally or by the web ui.

[slim] SB3 woes - psu connector faulty

2010-03-06 Thread copperstate

I was just cleaning up my stereo when I had to realize that the
connection to the psu on the back of my new SB3 is faulty, as the SB3
shuts down the moment I touch it. Also the the display starts to flicker
ever so slightly (it is not supposed to do that, right?)

So the big question is, are there still spares at logitech or do I need
to return it (and wait for the SB touch to be launched)?
