Re: [slim] Announcing the Squeezebox Duet
mvalera;254720 Wrote: All Squeezboxes can be synchronized by the Controller, or SlimServer /SqueezeCenter for that matter, to play the same song. Or they can all play different songs at the same time. Bridging works the same as on the SqueezeBox. You connect your SqueezeBox wirelessly to your network, and then you can connect wired devices, like a PS2 to your network through your SqueezeBox's Ethernet port. Or you can connect a switch to it, and hve a whole load of devices connected. It works great if you don't have a wired connection for your home theater setup. Everything AV related seems to come with a Ethernet port these days. Mike Do you have detailed instructions on configuring a second SB with the controller? Not showing up on my controller and there are NO instructions in the box or online describing how to do this. thanks -- homer74 homer74's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15557 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=41813 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Guys, Any thoughts on either the potential of an old Panther firewall issue or another thought from Sean from SD? thanks -- homer74 homer74's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15557 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43587 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

If you are trying to make a direct connection, you may have DHCP set up wrong. Tried to make the direct connection over ethernet with the firewall off and no dice. As for the router, are you looking for the brand/model? if so, it's the Linksys WRT54G. -- homer74 homer74's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15557 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43587 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
[slim] Updgraded to Leopard and not appearing as wireless network on SB2
I have read a number of posts with people having connection issues with slimserver after upgrading to Leopard, but have tried ALL the recommended fixes to no avail. Have even had a couple weeks worth of email conversations with SD support. Situation: I am running squeezecenter 7.0a beta with Leopard on an iMac. The iMac's IP is not appearing on the SB's menu when I try to connect to slimserver over wireless OR via ethernet. I have made all the firewall exceptions for slimserver. Any thoughts on how I can remedy the situation? -- homer74 homer74's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15557 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43587 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
