Hi, thanks for helping out. I tried now with 2 other external power supplies (both working with other SB) I disassembled the unit and removed the WiFi-card and now connecting thru Ethernet cable. The unit starts up nice and run screensaver and so as expected. But rather immediately when starting to play something it reboots, it takes just a few seconds now. Any idea what to check for next? [slim] SB3 rebooting after playing a few tracks
Hi, My SB3 has started to act strange. Since a few days back it reboots after a playing a few songs. After reboot it starts up loading the the same song in a paused state. At one occasion I got a "static sound" just before the restart. This happens at all times now. -Sometimes a bit into the fist songs, sometimes after five songs. -A song that "caused" reboot can play perfectly through out the next time. I swapped the SB3 to one of my spare, and the spare runs nicely with the same configuration. I suspect the SB3 being bad in some way, overheating or voltage drop etc. Do anyone have an idea were to start looking? Is this a known issue? (like capacitors on the outgoing RCA port that I changed several years ago...) I'd love to fix this unit if possible... [slim] NEW SB hardware?
Hi, It was a while since the latest hardware was introduced. Are there any rumours of what's cooking? Do logitech work on new devices at all? Are they merging this product line with some other they already have? I was under the impression that logitech should push out new devices in a even higher pace. This is what they normally do, right? But it seems like the SB development rather turned to an end. I would like to see a battery driven all in one weather proof player (similar to the Boom or the Radio) to be used in the garden. How should Various Artist be used to get the correct behavior? I have several album from one Artist,lets say Depeche Mode (these Album have not Various Artist tags or Compilation Tag set). Both Album Artist, Band and Artist is set to Depeche Mode. I then have some Mix or Favourite collections with several Artist in one Album. These have the Artist tags set to Depche Mode (or the artist applicable), the Album artist and Band is set to Various Artist and iTunes Compilation is set to true. I want SC to sort Artist with Albums that are not Compilations in the main listing (at the correct alphabetical order) and Compilations under the special entry for Compilation (without showing the artist). Artist that only appear in compilation albums should not be listed at all. So is that possible? Some statistics: 8350 songs, 637 Artists, 200 Albums Just recently I noticed that my a Artsit doesn't sort alphabeticly. Most of then (75%) sort correctly, but some (25%) doesn't, the unsorted are found after the letter V, they are sorted correctly from there, then they are followed by the Z-artists. like this a-v (correct order) a-v (Almost correct order does take small words (the etc) into sorting) x-z (correct order) Is there a limit in number of artist? i checked the Tags and I can't see a difference between the correct and faulty artists. I made a full rescan with the same result. I have control of the artist sort tags. I set them through iTunes. I rip in foobar2000, check tags in MP3 Tags where I merge album art to the file, then I import to Itunes, then I runt iTunes Store Valdidator to copy the embedded album art to the folder and some other checks. Everything was fine (sort order wise) until a ripped my last pile of CD's and reach the magical number of 200 albums. Then albums sthat was sort ok before started to sort differently (see attached picture where I deisplay artist starting at R. They list fine up to T (Tricky is the last one), then 16 Horsepower gets listet (which should be at the begining, and the rest follows again in alphabetical order. I have the same view in the controller Anyone else seen this? Oh, before I exeprimented to get a special character to drive some Album to display in top of the Various Artist-list. [slim] SB starts to play randomly...
When my players have been synched (either by the default functionality in SC or by using The Synchroniser) and I stop (pressing paus) my players starts to play after some time, ~2-3 hoours. If the players are turned of there is no problem or if the synchronisation is turned of. I have a mix of Reciver, SB3 and BOOM. [slim] No last fm after 7.0 -7.1 upgrade...
I used to have the SC 7.0.1 with the last-fm plugin, this worked nicely. After upgrading to SC 7.1 I can no longer acces Last-fm. My old last-fm plugin was listed togheter with the new last-fm plugin (in the plugin section) with the comment that it was not compatibel with sc 7.1, so I removed it from the plugin folder. When only the included last-fm plugin was listed in the plugins section i tried to: uncheck it, restart, check it, restart -but no change, last-fm still not show up under internet radio.
