Got the plug in installed and working on my LMS web player screen. Signed up for Tidal, and got that done. Verified by signing in directly. Now, I o to Ickstream under my apps and it's there. It tells me I need to sign in under the advanced settings. I then click on Tidal for the sign in page, enter my login info, click log in and .nothing. I get this message: Proxy Error The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. The proxy server could not handle the request POST /ickstream-cloud-tidal/auth. My reply: Dear Mr. Rogers There is a substantial group of MOG subscribers who chose the MOG service because of a smart decision that MOG made a couple of years back. This decision was to provide a way to interface the MOG service with the Logitech Squeezebox music server system that would provide control and listening through the Squeezebox hardware. Basically it was a plug in that could be activated in the users local server (computer) that then allowed you to access MOG directly through any Squeezebox in your house. MOG did this at the request of Squeezebox users and we have remained loyal. When MOG goes dark, I suspect this capability will not extend to Beats music. If that is correct, then that entire group of MOG users will switch to the only other service with 320k files that is Squeezebox accessible. And that service is Spotify. I don#8217;t even know if it#8217;s possible for Beats to create such an interface today, because Logitech#8217;s support of the Squeezebox architecture has suffered dramatically. Still, there#8217;s a huge universe of these network streamers worldwide and a lot of people loved listening to MOG over them. Just got an email about Beats Music coming online in January. I'm assuming this will coincide with shutting down of MOG, since Beats owns MOG. I'm also betting the result will be that the replacement for MOG will not be available over squeezebox devices. Anybody have any ideas about this? I'm confused by this app. I got it to work no problem for mysqueezebox.com on both my radio and SB3, but it won't give me any access to SBS on my Mac. After logging in to mysqueezebox.com in the app, I get a second log in screen saying Server (my computer name) requires a username and password. I don't understand which username and password it is referring to. I've tried the mysqueezebox.com, sign in again and that doesn't work. Same problem here. Connection to Napster is extremely glitchy. Using Ipeng, I get all kinds of unexpected response messages, Gateway timeouts, and intermittent playback. Napster is now pretty much useless through mysqueezebox.com. It started after I paused a song very close to the end of the track. From there on the whole thing slowed to a crawl. The SqueezeCenter web interface still functioned well, and I was able to control the player from my computer with no problem. I finally solved the problem by doing a full, clean, reinstallation of SC7. Simply reinstalling it without dumping all the old files didn't fix the problem. To do this I had to trash the SC7 prefPane in the OSX Library folder. I also had to dump all vestiges of any older Slimserver files, including install logs. I then went into the system folder and dumped some items that appeared associated with either SC7 or Slimserver 6.x. There seemed to be associated files in the Cache, Syndication, Preference, and Safari folders, all of which I dumped. After doing this and reinstalling SC7, I was able to get back to the sign in page for SC7 and start from scratch. Now everything works again. [slim] SqueezeCenter 7.0 extremely slow
Just installed 7.0 on my Mac G4 750 /384 with external WD 500GB firewire drive. 6.5.4 with this setup worked perfectly. With 7.0,my SB3 now responds extremely slowly to commands until I can finally select an album from the playlist menu and hit play. Once that album starts to play, then the response time returns to normal until the album finishes. Then the problem starts all over. I've reinstalled the program, rebooted both the computer and the SB 3, updated the firmware, rescanned the music library, and made sure that the paths to the music folders are correct, but to no avail. I've even started playback in itunes just to make sure that the external hard drive was not in sleep mode. Still the same problem. This just sucks. I want to go back to 6.5, but I can't figure out how to do that. OSX Tiger. Cleared and rescanned my music library because my playlists would display, but I couldn't access any music off the playlists. Now everything works but 0 Artists displayed. Artists were all there before rescanning.
