Re: [slim] SB3 funny characters and re-setting HELP!
Have you tried doing the factory and or xilinx reset(s) yet? Does that change the behavior at all. Does this happen with in a few milliseconds of you plugging in power, or a few minutes later? could be a thermal problem Check the AC adapter, is it cool/warm/hot/lava-like to the touch? could be an AC adapter issue. If you feel like taking your unit apart, some times resetting the Wireless Card can solve these types of issue. If the unit is still under warranty, don't do this. if its out of warranty, it may be worth while cracking it open -- jrichardson James R. Re: [slim] is Slacker working for YOU/Anyone?
Looking at: http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=9682#c3 this is caused by Slacker's server bumping sessions if requests for a single user come from different IP addresses. Bundled with MSN Premium, OR McAfee Internet Security Suite 2008 or McAfee 6-in1 / 12-in-1 or Enterprise Edition... While it shouldn't make much of a differenace, I have noticed in the past that different versions allow various levels of user modifications, so knowing which version you have will make it easier to come up with a fix :) -- jrichardson James R.
