Re: [slim] [ANNOUNCE] Squidget - A SqueezeBox Widget for Android
I purchased Squidget when it came out. Just now I went to reinstall it on a new device and it is no longer in the Android Market. Any idea what happened to it and where I can get it? jw111's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11985 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86993 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I have used it on and off since April 30th. Re: [slim] PDA-controller SlimControl 0.95
The list does scroll up and down and I can see the other players. For some reason it did not occur to me to use my finger on it. It will still be good to get rid of nonexistent players. Re: [slim] PDA-controller SlimControl 0.95
That will be a help. What will happen though if I really do have more than three players? Will you add scrolling to the player list? Re: [slim] PDA-controller SlimControl 0.95
I have two SB3s and one Duet with receiver. I had tried a while ago to stream through the browser on my phone and also on my desktop, so SlimControl shows two browsers with descriptions like, "Mozilla from 192.168.1.192." It shows one of my SB3s below that, but does not show the other two players. -- jw111 ---- jw111's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11985 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=64537 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] PDA-controller SlimControl 0.95
I tried 0.98. It says that I have 5 players, but only shows three and there is no way to scroll to the last two. Two of these players do not exist right now, but there does not seem to be a way to remove them from the list. I also tried the 0.983 binary file as well. This gives the same result. Any ideas anyone? I think it is somehow standard to Windows Mobile because there are wifi sniffing programs like WIFI Monster that can do this on different phones. -- jw111 jw111's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11985 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62486 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] PDA controller solution
Other suggestions: 1. An option to have Slimcontrol turn on wifi if it is off. This would be useful to me because I leave wifi off most of the time but then want to start some music on the squeezebox when I get home. 2. A separate option to turn wifi off upon exit, possibly only when slimcontrol turned it on initially. -- jw111 jw111's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11985 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62486 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] PDA controller solution
I have been waiting for an application like this for the Squeezebox. There are a few minor problems on my Touch Pro. 1. I have a player called "Family Room" The name displays in Slimcontrol as "Family%20Room" 2. Fairly often, if my phone switches to another application such as when I get a phone call, and Slimcontrol is still running, then when I switch back to SlimControl the display is garbled, with bits of the other application's screen or of my Touchflo3d wallpaper showing. Off the top of my head, here are some other features I would like to see: 1. actual times shown on Elapsed time indicator. 2. 640 x 480 display. 3. Support for d-pad and scroll wheel functionality of Touch Pro. 4. Ability to scroll fast through lists or artists, albums, or songs. Scroll wheel support would help here. 5. Support for internet radio so I could use this in my car. 6. Anything else the Duet does. This program is very useful to me already in it s current form. -- jw111 ---- jw111's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11985 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62486 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Best 802.11N Router for Duet
I have already been looking at comparison sites. Still, a list of working routers would be better than nothing. If I get enough comments then I will see some trends about which ones tend work. Also, If enough people say which routers do not work then I will get a sense of which ones to avoid. I seem to recall reading that there were problems with Zyxel routers. [slim] Best 802.11N Router for Duet
I need to get a new router and would like to pick the 802.11n router that works best with my Duet Controller. I am using a wired connection for the receiver. What 802.11n router is as reliable as possible with the Controller? Maybe the Squeezebox people could say what routers they develop with? [slim] How Do I Set WPA2 and Key in Duet Bridged Mode
I want to use my Duet in bridged mode where the Receiver is connected to a wired ethernet connection and the Controller connects to the wireless of the Receiver. This works, but during setup I am never given a choice to set up WPA2 encryption and to enter a key. How do I set up WPA2 in this mode? [slim] SB Controller+SB3 Discount?
Will there be a discount for getting the SB Controller with an SB3 instead of the receiver? I currently have some SB3's in my house. One is connected to my receiver in my family room which has a zone upstairs. I currently use a Harmony 890 upstairs to remotely start the SB3 and turn on my AV receiver also. This lets my family members start whatever music is already selected. I am using a Pocketpc when i need to change the music selection. I would replace the pocket pc with the SB controller, but I still would like to be able to start the SB and AV receiver all at once. If I got the SB receiver then I would have no way to start my AV receiver. I would therefore like to get another SB3 so that I could still use the Harmony remote to start everything from my upstairs zone. I realize that I could also set up to do this with the Controller and an SB3 and an IR blaster, but I could not do this with a Controller + SB Receiver. Since the Controller and SB3 each sell for $ 300, I would suggest $ 500 as an attractive price for both.
