[slim] Unsupported Format in a Playlist
SlimServer is not moving to the next track automatically, when there are two unsupported format files consecutively in a playlist.In this case the user have to use Skip to move to next file in the Play list. Hi Chris We are trying to stream the AAC (M4A) content transcoded to WAV format by slim server, to a streaming client that runs on linux host (this client is developed by us) which can understand only WAV as the uncompressed format. We are not using any device to stream the content here. So maybe the info he's looking for is this: AIFF is a basic PCM format, very very similar to WAV. The Squeezebox can decode AIFF just like it can WAV, so it shouldn't really make a difference that you can't select WAV. Maybe he's trying to stream to some device that only understands WAV though. In that case, life gets more difficult. I am doing an Experiment in slimserver. I am trying to play the m4a files in wav format. I dont want the file to be converted in any other format. Or if it must be played in m4a format itself. I have tried changing in convert.config file as m4a m4a * * or m4a wav * *. I am trying to play m4a to wav format in slimserver. But the slimserver cant able to play.
