However, it currently ignores this and always uses the track gain. I guess it would be possible to add an option though which LMS could tell librespot which to use based on LMS's track/album/smart setting (although I expect that smart would be foiled by Spotify Connect). mavit's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10203 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112469 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Thanks. However, now I find I'm unable to edit pages. I get the following message: > You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason: > > The action you have requested is limited to users in one of the groups: > Bots, Administrators, Bureaucrats, emailconfirmed, developer. I see that the emailconfirmed group was 'obsoleted back in MediaWiki version 1.13' (https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:User_rights#List_of_groups). It seems that its now necessary to configure the '$wgAutopromote setting' (https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:$wgAutopromote) to get this working again. mavit's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10203 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108152 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

My understanding is that traffic can also be injected onto the network. An attacker could connect to Logitech Media Server and do any of the bad things described at http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?107165-IMPORTANT-Stop-forwarding-your-LMS-ports-to-the-internet!=879191=1#post879191, including extracting sensitive data that happens to be on the same machine that runs the server. mavit's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10203 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108140 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
[slim] KRACK attacks
A serious security vulnerability in WPA2 was made public today, mainly affecting Wi-Fi clients. See https://www.krackattacks.com/ for details. Re: [slim] AlienBBC - BBC Radio. Why not core component of SlimCenter?
ModelCitizen;336714 Wrote: When I can summon the strength I'll update my various SlimCenter menus to use the AlienBBC/BBCRadio Microsoft WMA protocol feeds instead of the current Real Audio ones. When the BBC finally offer something stable, reliable, SENSIBLE and USEFUL for hardware players and I can just do a vanilla AlienBBC install knowing that it will all work perfectly for at least a year without me having to screw with it I'll do that too. But actually, I am beginning to lose faith in the BBC and am starting to believe that they'll never get it right and that to some degree they've lost their clear headedness/confidence of old. Did I mention that even the links under the BBC iPlayer menus don't work on my AlienBBC installation? I hope that the BBCs James Cridland (?) takes some notice of this thread. It's clear from sites such as 'Music' (http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/beta/), 'Programmes' (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/) and 'Backstage' (http://backstage.bbc.co.uk/) that the BBC are putting considerable effort into reorganising their offerings around open data and, dare I say it, the semantic web. This new infrastructure enables services such as iPlayer, and it's the -migration- of radio into iPlayer that's causing the current problems for AlienBBC, not the new infrastructure itself. There might be a few bumps along the way, but I can't see how you can argue that they're heading in the wrong direction. -- mavit mavit's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10203 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51829 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Unfortately the XML interface is not as complete as the screen scraper. The current interim XML interface was developed quickly (I think mainly for Receiva) - a more complete XML interface is promised. Currently the XML addon is making use of information posted on the internet (as BBC have not published the spec on their website) and so is not an official user of the interface.
