De transporter vonden zij ook een overkill ook omdat ik een music fidelity dac heb die ik er mooi op kan aansluiten. wachten op de duet nee dus heeft mindere dac. Dus je hebt een betere DAC die je erop gaat aansluiten maar je koopt de Duet niet omdat de DAC die je niet gaat gebruiken minder goed zou zijn? Dat klinkt niet erg logisch. De SBR DAC klinkt trouwens prima n.m.m. en volgens Logitech is hij net zo goed als in de SB3. Ik vond dat ik dit even moest laten weten.de hele zaak 545 euro netjes vond ik en dan voor 35 euro een universele remote. Veel succes ermee! Mvg, Peter hoi je hebt 100% gelijk,alleen in mijn icub van focal daar zit een 20 bit dac in,dus ik denk dat ik eerst nog eens moet zien of de music fidelity dac beter is dan die in de icub zit. de prijs van de sqb 3 vond ik mooi en de duet was dan toch duidelijk duurder. http://www.hifi.nl/recensies.php?id=2400 kijk hier staat welke dac gebruikt wordt in de icub van focal,misschien heb jij er verstand van en advies wil ik altijd wel. Trouwens een vraag:: ik heb een pc ,een imac en een mac book Bij de nas van synology heb ik software op cd die ik mot installeren om de nas te kunnen zien in de pc enz,de nas dus te zien als een volgende schijf. Als ik nu op de pc en de macs de software installeer dan moet het toch werken op alle 3. De SB wrdt aangesloten op de icub optisch of analoog, maar dan zou ik toch in de nash software de pc ,imac of mac book moeten kunnen benaderen. Hello I have lots of cd's and music on my computer(imac or pc) what I want is the possibility to play the music which is on my harddrive through external speakers which are connented to the computer. i think things as the squeezebox duet are suitable for this . when the music is on my hard drive how can i listen to it through a device like the duet? how does the duet connect to the computer. i do not really understand it,the speakers are they connected to the computer or to the duet. i also heard of other solutions like the conceptronic e.g so I WANT TO BE ABLE to play the music which is now at my harddrive with a remote all the albums nicely archived alfabatically. ok thank you for your remarks. I wonder whats the difference between the one you have and the duet, the transporter is out of my budget. ok I connect the sqeezebox or the duet to a receiver/amplifier ,is it also ok to connect it to a monitored system as the sub has allkind of connections. But what i do not understand is how it plays the mp3 on my hard drive or does that work through the wireless router etc. So it connects with my hard drive wireless no cable or what so ever between the duet and my computer? Is there a real difference between the duet and squeezebox 2? In themanual of my focal icub sub there is a way to connect it to a Wi-Fi receiver which is i think what the duet is too. it connects to a optical cable. You only need to download the free squeezecenter software and the freen sofsqueeze software to do that. It seems you may not have much use for the SB Receiver (wich is part of the duet package). The SB Controller (the other half of the duet package) may be very useful even if you play music directly from your PC. It allows you to select music and control playback from anywhere in your house. The Controller is not yet available seperately, but it will be in the future. Wat ik wil is over de focal set mijn mp3's en een zeer grote cd verzameling afdraaien,waarschijnlijk eerst dan de cds converteren naar mp3. De ruimte wordt zo nijpend maar het is toch vooral bedoelt om de enorme hoeveelheid mp3 's af te spelen, Ik snap het toch niet helemaal. De mp3's staan op mijn harde schijf ,hoe en wat doet de squeezebox dan. En wat zou het nut voor mij zijn. En waarom denk je dat ik niet veel aan de receiver heb.
