I'm not talking about keeping this on life support (as per what is going on now), but in terms of new products and restoring the commitment to quality music playback - think transporter on steroids and other cool products. I'm seriously thinking about making an offer to Logitech for the rights, so would appreciate considered feedback. Cheers, Moos Man - It would be so nice to see this brand revitalized. It was a sad day when SlimDevices sold out to Logitech, although I can hardly blame them for wanting to cash in. They developed a great set of products with a passionate community supporting them. All that has now come apart and seems to be in danger of disappearing completely. I have two Squeezebox products that I continue to use because they're fantaastic devices with a software system that is highly configurable. I would happily buy another Squeezebox product, especially the Transporter which is a true high end digital music device. I hope you do manage to get the rights and it would be great if some of the original partners came back into the fold to breathe some life back into this brand. sg60's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5520 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96660 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
[slim] Replay gain for FLAC files???
I know that Squeezecenter recognizes replaygain but I have my music library encoded in mp3 and flac format. I've used MP3Gain on the mp3 files and it works fine but is there a way to apply replay gain to Flac files? I'm talking many thousands of files so something like MP3Gain for FLAC files would be the best option but I'll take any suggestions at this point. Thanks. -- sg60 sg60's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5520 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63743 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
[slim] Random Mix
Just getting into SqueezeCenter. Is there a way to save different Random Mixes. Love the feature but it looks like you're stuck with a single mix. I would like to create a bunch of dymnamic playlists based on different selections of genres. Is this possible? -- sg60 sg60's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5520 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63456 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Rescanning music library
What is the name of that rescan music library plugin? I've looked for it but I can't find the one you're talking about. -- sg60 sg60's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5520 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40763 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

[slim] Rescanning music library
Is it possible to automate the function of rescanning the music library for changes rather than having to initiate it manually? I thought this was available but I can't find this option anywhere? Also, does rescanning also look for new or changed .m3u play lists? I create these with another app and access them with Slim Server but I change the play lists frequently and want Slim Server to always have the most recent versions of everything. I don't use iTunes to manage my music. [slim] Accessing iTunes Playlists
I just got my Squeezebox the other day and have a question about iTunes Playlists. When I attempt to access iTunes Playlists I can only see the default playlists that are built into iTunes. I want to be able to access the Smartlists that I create myself in ITunes. Is this possible? If yes, how do I do this? Many thanks. -- sg60 sg60's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5520 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23932 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
