[slim] Slave players?

2011-01-15 Thread superpin

Hi!

Is there a way to set two SBs to sync power just between each other and
not when another SB in the same sync set is powered on or off?

I got several SBs around the house, all synced (not power), and this
works great as I move around the house just turning on or off players
as needed. The problem now is that I got a Touch in the living room,
its a nice gadget but the low readability and lack of lazy search makes
it pretty useless to operate from distance, so I placed a SB3 in the
same room and set them up to sync power. Worked great until I turned
off another SB somewhere and they of course died too...

I run a local SBS on a linux box btw.

Re: [slim] SB3 stops randomly

2008-02-14 Thread superpin

Almost scary to read dcote's story, I have the exact same experience
with my two SB3's. Next time it happens I will do some more serious
research and post the results here (or if there is a bugreport filed?).

[slim] Re: Nedd to worry about display burn in?

2006-07-18 Thread superpin

For different reasons I havent used my SB that much the last couple of
months and it have been displaying the clock at 3/4 brightness. When I
started to use the SB again I noticed a quite clear darkened areas of
the display, lining up with the 24h clock digits. First I just blanked
the display and hoped it would disappear by its own, but of course it
didnt. I found this thread when I searched for a clock that moved or
something, because I thought the display simply couldnt handle the
rather static display of the clock, but if this isn't a common problem
I am rather interested in what the investigation of rudholms SB
resultet in? Normal characteristics of the display, a faulty SB3 or
just over sensitive customers?

[slim] Re: Anyone use ClarkConnect with SlimServer?

2005-12-08 Thread superpin

I am running a ClarkConnect 3.1 server/firewall with SlimServer. Works
great, I have been using CC for a couple of years and find it perfect
for me. Currently running on a Compaq SFF 1GHz P3 with 384 megs of ram.
I have about 200 gigs of flac files and some odd MP3s etc. The CC also
runs some mail accounts and a small website using Gallery. No problems
whatsoever!

[slim] Re: Resellers in Sweden

($299 + $30 freight)*1,25= well over $400... You have to slip through
customs without paying the sales tax (moms) to earn any money. Or buy
two with the current deal of course!

Sadly you pay customs and VAT on the freight costs too, so you will end
up with about 2750 SEK per box if you buy two. Still cheaper than
Domestic so if you need two or have a friend that needs one, why not?
