You need Triode's 3rd party Spotify plugin for older SB players.  Only
Touch  Radio can use the official Logitech app/plugin.

[slim] Does the stock LMS Spotify app/plugin still work with LMS and squeezeboxes?

I just upgraded to a premium Spotify account and went through adding the
app at mysqueezebox.com.  But when I try to play Spotify content on my
Transporter, I get no sound.  LMS is running on a headless Ubuntu 15.05
server.  Spotify is trying to stream Ogg Vorbis VBR @ 320k.
