It's funny because I know I sounded like a total newb when I asked that
question.

Thing is, that was one of the first things we tried. And it didn't
work. There was definitely something wonky going on that day.

However, we tried it again (exactly as you posted) yesterday and it
worked just fine.

I also switched iPeng over to his radio and we were jamming just like
we wanted outside.

I wish I could remember what happened that first time, but at least it
is working now.

Thanks for the info iPhone!

Log his SB Radio onto your SBS Server. It already sees your network or
it wouldn't play Pandora. Press the Home Button, Select My Music>Switch
Library> and pick your SBS Server from the list. Going back to My Music
should show your Artists.

[slim] How to connect someone else's SB to my collection

2010-06-08 Thread starfury

Hi all.

I have an SB Touch and my nephew occasionally brings his SB Radio over
so we can listen to it outside.

We haven't been able to figure out how to get his radio to stream my
music collection. He has the radio set up to stream his collection at
home, from his PC.

When he is here, we stream Pandora over my Wi-Fi. No problem
connecting to my router.

I use Squeezebox Server to stream from my Touch, not the internal
server. Would be even better if I could also use iPeng, which is set
up on my iPod Touch.

All software involved on my end is updated to latest stable firmwares.

Thanks for any info you can provide.
