Exactly my view, a lot of their tracks wouldn't have nearly the same punch without the organ, sadly it takes more than just a cursory listening to figure this out so I don't think he always got the credit he deserved. alfista's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32396 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95839 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Jon Lord - RIP
On netflix I watched the video from Classic Albums about the making of Machine Head. In it, Jon talked about how me made that organ sound running it through amps and such. I never really appreciated his organ sound until watching that. As Alfista points out - it takes more than just a cursory listen to appreciate it. maggior's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9080 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95839 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Jon Lord - RIP
I loved Jon Lord's playing and it's interplay with Ritchie's strat work. I liked the crazy rhythm of Space Trucking , the solos, the Spartan purity like on Child in Time. I was so sorry to hear the news. If you've been bad, Lord, I bet you have And you've not been hit by flying lead You've not been hit by flying lead You'd better close your eyes You'd better bow your head Wait for the ricochet fairyliquidizer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3678 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95839 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
