I have tried rsync over the network but the poor little pi struggles and it's so much faster if I plug it into the server directly, I've definitely found the problem i.e. the missing execute attribute but I don't think it is rsync that removed it because I haven't found any documentation to support my theory. When you have finished put it back in the same socket and the switch on the Pi. Well the scan seems to have finished and the same result 0 files found, what I have discovered though is, if I copy some files to the pi's hard disk and point LMS to the location it works, so there is something about my USB drive that is not right - it's mounted ok and I can browse it in file manager but the LMS software can't see it nor can I browse it from my transporter using browse music folder. It's beginning to annoy me now. When the going gets weird - the weird turn pro. [slim] LMS not finding music
Hi guys, I've had LMS setup and running on my Raspberry Pi for over a week now without any major problems but yesterday I disconnected the external USB drive which has my music on it to back it up to my file server all went ok, I reconnected it the pi and LMS reports 0 files 0 playlist etc etc..., I've rescanned the library all to no avail, I've tried browsing the music folder from my transporter and it too can't find any files but the drive is mounted ok and obviously in the same place Any ideas ?
