Firstly, I haven't read this entire post or even skimmed it properly, so I apologize if I'm being hasty. Are the Slimdevices wiki sysops active lately? If I read the administrators user list correctly, it looks like there are 79 people with administrators role. Five were added in 2010, none so far this year. To continue what I started earlier (I had to leave hastily): I am dismayed by the amount of SPAM in the Slimdevices wiki. I would volunteer to help filter it, but I don't know who to contact. It seems like it's far too easy for a SPAMMER to register and create a topic. Every topic show up on the 'Allpages' special page, which is -- or would be -- an -*excellent resource for browsing the wiki contents.*- I was surprised to see the main wiki page no longer had a link to the 'Allpages' page. I restored the link. If you don't know about the 'Allpages' special index, you would be unlikely to find it by chance. After seeing the number of SPAM topics on the index page, I completely understand why it was unlinked. But hiding the spam problem is not the way forward. I marked several dozen SPAM topic pages. Does anyone know how I can contact the people who drift the wiki server? Right now, it seems more than 95% of the contributions are by spambots. I just noticed that links to external sites lack the *rel=nofollow* attribute. No wonder there's a lot of link spam. This setting needs to be changed IMO. I noticed there's been a lot less (as in none at all) spam on the wiki lately. I hoped it had something to do with filters being implemented or something, but when trying to move a page today I discovered it couldn't be done. Saving doesn't work either. Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. Please try again. If it still doesn't work, try logging out and logging back in. ... which I did, to no avail. I assumed that if somebody had lifted a finger, they would also have deleted the spam. ah, that's most likely because the person who replaced the content with the category:spam doesn't have the privileges to ban users. You seem to have blocked the user -after- I asked the question. (I asked the question 13:08 Norway time, you blocked the user 13:12 Norway time). That's correct. I don't refresh that page every five minutes just to see whether there's new spam or not. I only go there every now and then. Considering there is only a handful of developers left on Squeezebox, I doubt if this is seen as a priority in Logitech. Maybe the third party devlopers may wish to pick this up, although with all the name and feature changes it will be a lot of work. I'm watching all pages I did changes to (most of them being about 3rd party integration or applets). These don't get spammed :) So consider 1% already handled.
