I can safely say I would have suggested 1,000 other things...before
suggesting that.

I wouldn't. I had run into the same problem before. :-)

Sorry, this is the first time SlimServer crashed on me like that. Also
clearly caused by my own stupidity.

However the log events read:

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote
computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this
description; see Help and Support for details. The following
information is part of the event: Can't use string () as a subroutine
ref while strict refs in use at /PerlApp/Slim/Buttons/Common.pm line
1081.

Second crash, exact same log.

ironicly, this is a dead giveaway for a plugin problem :)
Faves is really only partly plugin, partly core. It really needs to
shed the plugin side. If a user isn't using the feature, the overhead
is very low.

Good job that Favourites is no longer a plugin then, by the sound of it!

Have you since tried it again perhaps with a different radio station?

I just tried and I was unable to reproduce the crash. Although, I am
using 6.3.1.

Could you try reproducing this with 6.3.1?

I'll try 6.3.1.

It doesn't matter which radio station I listen to. Adding it to
Favorites is fine, it's pressing the Favorites button that causes the
crash.

The crash occurs regardless of what I'm playing - Internet radio or my
music library.

Umm, I'm wondering if the fact that I had the Favorites plugin disabled
had anything to do with it...blush

Works fine after altering that fairly critical setting.
