Doesn't anybody has any idea about that issue? Then I'm gonna give up
and sell my SB duett.

Hello RIch,

Have you called or E-mailed Tech Support? They can work you through
this fairly quickly.

[slim] SB Duett controller disconnects from WLAN

2008-08-22 Thread richohara

After 3 months of proper working my squeezebox controller disconnects
from time to time from the WLAN. (I updated the squeezecenter to 7.1)

A blue connect - symbol appears on the bottom of the display. When I
check the IP-Adress then I always find a fantasy adress like
169.254 My network uses DHCP and adresses in the 192.168.1. - net.
Some details about my network and computer:
- squeezecenter 7.1
- Windows XP SP3, Firewall on with ports 3483 and 9000 free
- router WRT54G3G
- player firmware 35 connected via ethernet

By the way, I'll find a line in the logfile each I start the squeezebox
which makes me wonder:

Slim::Networking::Async::DNS::init (102) Warning: No DNS servers
responded, falling back to OpenDNS.

Does anybody know, how can I force the controller not to change its
ip-adress when playing? It's not funny and I'm thinking of going back
to the good old squeezebox classic.

Thx - Rich
