It's two perl scripts/applications. SC itself and the scanner.
Scripts are applications.
Even Activity Monitor shows Perl as the number one process.

Now, while I do want SC accessing various internet addresses, I don't
want a generic tool having access.

Is there anything that can be done to distinguish that SC is requesting
access, or is everything just lots of Perl scripts.??

Possibly. Go ask the Little Snitch people ;)

[slim] SqueezeCenter (Mac) and Perl

2008-10-30 Thread WizardFusion

I am running SC on my Mac Mini. I also run a firewall called Little
Snitch.
Little Snich reports that the Perl tool is accessing the internet
everytime SC want access.

Now, while I do want SC accessing various internet addresses, I don't
want a generic tool having access.

Is there anything that can be done to distinguish that SC is requesting
access, or is everything just lots of Perl scripts.??

Thanks.
