Well pricewise on gadgets we often don't fare a lot better than the UK here in Australia, but for once we do. I just got our squeezebox locally for $A 310 which is about 137 pounds. Well you can still get it at Datakits for under £190 (and IIRC they still have non-Logitech branded ones!). But more insidious is that you can't buy from SlimDevices anymore if you live in Europe - you have to use Logitech, and so have to get it at £219 plus shipping, instead of the sterling equivalent price of under £175, even including VAT. And say nothing of the Transporter price - you could get a weekend break in New York, buy a Transporter, pay the UK VAT on your return and still save money! Globalisation? Not here!!
