Is Sony trying to break this Mike I figured it out, I had to actually launch it from the Internet Radio icon to actually start hearing music, I'm not sure if that's new in 3.90 or not, but that threw me for a loop. I found instructions on FreeRadio that got me through it. Re: [slim] Using PSP as Client
Hi ! The PSP client GUI is good and works well:) I was looking forward to have it for my kids to play music the whitout running around with my CD's. Hovever when playing music on the PSP the sound fades in and out and sometimes partly get scrambled. I've installed the LAME and reduced the speed to 96kbps and quality to 6 and its still problem, uppdated PSP to 3.9 and still no change. When I listen to other radio stations using another internet radio application it works well. Any ideas of what can be the problem. /Hans -- HansNy HansNy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15346 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42289 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

dOOp Many thanks for the info. Now have my PSP controlling my SqueezeBox and can also use it to receive streams from SlimServer. As my Ipaq can also control my SqueezeBox and also accept streams I'm not short of controllers and clients ! -- Spin Spin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15298 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42289 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Using PSP as Client
Thant was pretty easy. The kids think that's great - yet another use for the increasingly versatile PSP. I had to put the client IP address in the HTML too - any chance of a bit of java script that picks up the client IP for you? Re: [slim] Using PSP as Client
I've read the read me and edited the index.html file. But I'm confused about what to do with it? - Uncompress to the memory stick - Edit the file index.html on the slim folder and set your slimserver ip - Start SlimServer Internet Radio on the PSP. - Click on Play SlimServer mp3 stream to start streaming - Click on Open SlimServer interface to access the server I understand copying the PSP directory to the memory stick, but do I copy the psp directory as well? My memory stick now has the following directory structure PSP MP_ROOT slim Is this correct? -- oreillymj oreillymj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=699 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42289 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
[slim] Using PSP as Client
Hi everyone! I've finally managed how to use the PSP as a client for SlimServer. When I mean client I mean use the PSP to hear the streaming audio and control the interfaces. This hack can only be used on a PSP with firmware 3.80, as it's the first firmware that supports mp3 streaming. All work have been done by Torch and FreeRadio from qj.net. What I've done is do version of their FreeRadio hack specially suited to work with SlimServer.
