[slim] iPeng and iOS7 - any cause for concern?
Do I run the risk of iPeng breaking if I upgrade my iPhone to iOS7? Anyone have experience with this? Presumably Pippin has done some testing... Re: [slim] iPeng and iOS7 - any cause for concern?
Well, you might have noticed that there was an update dubbed iOS 7 compatibility the day before iOS 7 was released I hope I have found all niggles. There are some rumors that there are issues with audio under iOS 7 (audiobus just sent out a lengthy mail warning people about the update) but that's actually not my experience. While I find iOS 7 to be one of the worse updates from a stability and compatibility POV (there are still a lot of bugs, almost all non-iOS 7 Apps I use crash from time to time and a lot of Apps didn't work around the ugly-but-harmless bug about not being able to color navigation bars, at least I got that one fixed for iPeng) I've never had much problems with audio. That said: I would not use it on my day use phone right now because it absolutely hogs the battery - something the betas did not do but that only crept in on the GM seed. It's so bad that my iPad doesn't even charge overnight if I leave it connected to the computer (I believe it's a charging problem as much as a battery hogging one). Let's hope they fix that soon because the betas actually used way LESS power than iOS 6. iPeng is not an iOS 7 App yet, still working on that one. I planned to have it ready for the release but there's so much new stuff to be developed for it ;) --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and *New: Logitech UE Smart Radio* as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99825 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
