Netgear comes to mind, they went the "user friendliness" rout. What a

Too true dat :p. It's becoming the fad with some forums as well. Two I
used to visit on a regular basis have recently "upgrade" to more "user
friendliness"
to such an extent that browsing them has become a chore , and,
as a result, I visit less and less :(.

Leinster for the cup?

I'm guessing nothing.

BBCiPlayer uses a vendor feed of last 7 days which does not have
preferences and no feedback mechanism. Are all the vendors going to
rely on a BBC auth procedures (legal issues would be great) and somehow
adding userids into their devcies - unlikely.

The Apps for iOS, Android and Web browser - BBC have long wanted to have
"my xxx" so they can "tailor" suggestions - "in order to provide a
better services" - this is one of the reason they got rid of the old
feeds with A-z and schedule etc.

It is the lastest fad for UIs making sure you'll never find a sepcfic
program becuase they think you won't like it.

Re: [slim] BBC Radio on Squeezebox

2006-03-14 Thread Michael Herger

Nick,

Hi, I'm new here but have owned several players for several years.

You must be new as the discussions about AlienBBC can't be ignored :-)

Is it possible to pick up BBC Radio on a Squeezebox 2?

What you need is mplayer and the AlienBBC plugin:

Good luck!
