you are number 5 to start a thread without seeing the rest. see the Uh-oh thread, it's been going all day. It happens in busy forums, particularly when people start threads with crap subjects like uh oh. A high percent of people won't even open a thread if the topic doesn't sound interesting. Re: [slim] Has anyone else seen this?
Yes I was reading the same over 'here' (http://www.msfn.org/comments.php?shownews=21729). I think this would be very bad. One of Slim's best selling points is the support for Linux and wide variety of supported formats. I've run SS on my Linux box since version 5.something, and it *never* crashes. It's so long since I had to manually restart slimserver, I cannot remember how to do it. Slimserver was a lovely niche-market device, with huge s*x appeal (ok I'm a geek). But if the next version had a Microsoft banner and crashed every other day it would be horrendous. Yes I know it's total speculation. But frightening! Not because I am no fan of M$ (which I certainly am not!), it just potentially is another nail in the coffin of healthy competition and bad news for an excellent open source system. you are number 5 to start a thread without seeing the rest. see the Uh-oh thread, it's been going all day. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42018 -k ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
