sorry Dimitris, i think it is imortant, i can not build a netinstall package 
for my cluster installation any more.
The make can not find the needed udeb packages.

[DNG] beowulf netboot image do not work

the
http://packages.roundr.devuan.org/devuan/dists/beowulf/main/installer-amd64/current/images/netboot/netboot.tar.gz
is outdated.

I have build a new one from the debian-installer git sources on the 
beowulf/amd64 branch.
I needed to comment out in build/pkg-lists/netboot/amd64.cfg 
virtio-modules-${kernel:Version} and hyperv-modules-${kernel:Version} to build 
a new netboot image.
Last month the builded image has worked.
Today the installation ower pxe stop after succesfully partitionig.
I have rebuild the installer, and with the fress image also no succes.
The debian installer from Debian  
http://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian/dists/buster/main/installer-amd64/current/images/netboot/
 work.

 The  In the log i  see only:

The installation stop with this Error:

Also the SSL Certificate for packages.devuan.org uses an invalid
security certificate.
The certificate expired on January 22, 2019, 10:05 PM. The current time
is July 8, 2019, 10:48 AM. Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE

packages.roundr.devuan.org uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only valid for pkgmaster.devuan.org Error code:
SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

[DNG] netboot.tar.gz dont work since kernel 4.9.0-7

Dear all,

i have a problem with the netboot.tar.gz.The netboot.tar.gz  from 
https://auto.mirror.devuan.org/merged/dists/
ascii/main/installer-amd-64/current/images/netboot/netboot.tar.gzuse the
old kernel packages, 4.9.0-6, but on the mirror this packages are dispared.

How can i fix this problem?

There is an error, the mirror "deb.devuan.org" do not work well for ascii.

I had success with packages.devuan.org as mirror, and

/merged/ as Devuan archive mirror directory

i want to build on ascii debian installer.

This require module-init-tools, that do no more exist in ascii. It is
replaced with kmod.

Now i want to build kmod from sources,

apt-get source kmod

then debuild  -us -uc

bring

  Now running lintian...
  Could not load /usr/share/lintian/commands/lintian.pm: Could not find
a profile matching "{VENDOR}/main" for vendor devuan at /usr/bin/lintian
line 210.
  Compilation failed in require at /usr/bin/lintian line 35.

Hi,

I'm used to install linux systems via PXE/TFTP installation. Therefore
the 'netboot.tar.gz'
(https://auto.mirror.devuan.org/merged/dists/jessie/main/installer-amd64/20160425%2Bdevuan1Beta1/images/netboot/)
is mandatory.

Unfortunately this image is no longer working because of the change of
the release key signature in October
(https://git.devuan.org/devuan-packages/devuan-keyring/issues/15).

On installing 'the base system' debootstrap stops with error: Invalid
Release signature (key id 94532124541922FB).

Please renew the installer netboot image so the new release key is
integrated in it.

For my finger/thumb is a pleasant to have Ctrl on the right place,
i use often Ctrl-a, Ctrl-s, Ctrl-w, Ctrl-x, Ctrl-c, Ctrl-v, Ctrl-q,  Ctrl-e

Swap Ctrl and Capslook is ergonomic, also for Windows user, typists.
Print key is useful, please do not remove it.

Other think for the tty term, if you have a High Dpi (hidpi) laptop, you
are happy with have terminus fonts, that scale.

my motivation  for use apulse is the follow:
i like simple systems, witch do what they say and no more.
Sometime i need sound from my PC, and i use/have ALSA.
Some software, especialy actual skype work only with PA or with this 
nice part of sofware.

This is the same problem as with systemd, the software do mutch more
that i want.

The discussion about the suggestion had opened my eyes, that replacement
is not the best way, we should have both, if someone need the extra
functionality/addons.( for me are thes unwanted addons).  But how?

1. Idealy programs sould use ALSA and optionaly PA.
2. forget the software that is only PA capable and use some alternative
or make it ALSA capable.
2.1. use apulse, apulse make for each known application that do only
work with PA one wrapper script, that replace the original program.
3. some other ideas?

The problem is similar to this with systemd, if we replace
ALSA->arbitary init, and PA-> systemd, apulse ~>systemd-shim, skype->gnome.

With devuan we make the same steps, right?
