Window decorations are the window manager's business. So, yes, in your case that would presumably be openbox, or rather the theme you told it to use. Beware that most themes are broken for GTK-3. I'm not sure however if xfce4-terminal is GTK-2 or GTK-3. As to the window frame . . . This is from the themerc that is provided by the clearlooks-phenix-darkpurpy-theme !# general stuff border.width: 1 padding.width: 3 padding.height: 2 window.handle.width: 3 window.client.padding.width: 0 menu.overlap: 2 *.justify: center Look in the theme you are using for something similar and start experimenting. You might be able to add a color to that. Yes, gtk3 apps are broken in openbox at least on clearlooks-phenix-darkpurpy-theme which has gtk3 compatibility in xfce but fails in openbox. In that theme, all gtk3 apps whether user (catfisn) or root (synaptic) default to Clearlooks (blue). golinux ___ Dng mailing list Dng@lists.dyne.org https://mailinglists.dyne.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dng

Most (all?) terminal emulators maintain their own color scheme, independent of the general desktop settings. And IMHO thankfully so, I might add. If you want to (or possibly have to, due to dependencies) keep it you could install the pavucontrol package which lets you (among other things) fine-tune the volume settings on an per-application level. Can't really comment on your other issues though, sorry. HTH, best regards Urban -- Sapere aude! ___ Dng mailing list Dng@lists.dyne.org https://mailinglists.dyne.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dng
[DNG] Minor Ascii upgrade fixes ? (was: Re: desktop screen recording with sound?)

I did run out of space in /var so I killed the upgrade, extended the FS and restarted it. Would be a nice catch for the upgrader though. Couple things that might be related to my MeDeBunVuan repo situation: * Anyone know why VLC crashes with some wayland problem (uh, wayland??): http://pasted.co/6b473044 * I'm running xfce-terminal on LXDE. Anyone know how to change the terminal color scheme? I thought xfce4-appearance-settings would do, but I have "dusk" selected and the terminal is still white: https://imgur.com/a/v8hHd * I need either a bigger monitor or a smaller mouse cursor for Thunderbird and Palemoon. Any way to change this? I thought lxappearance would do it under "Mouse Cursor" but there is nothing useful there: https://imgur.com/a/swi9T * whenever I get an IM in Pidgin, my volume goes to 100% when the notification sound is played.
