 Ok. Thanks.

Youssef, I have made you the new Arabic coordinator in GNOME now. I
 have updated the http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gtp/teams.html
page; please make sure the listing is correct.

Mabrook Youssef -- I have a feeling you're taking on lots of work, but
you know best :-) I've updated the sub-project pages (and I'll do the
CVS acounting bit in a second) to note you as the coordinator/maintainer
(as far as arabeyes is concerned), so let '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' know if you
need to add/remove any people from those project lists. I'm guessing
that you're looking to maintain the projects (in terms of sync'ing, etc)
while hopping to get others to do the actual translation work (sounds
like a good plan :-) Any takers ??

Salam and thanks again for stepping forward (Gnome and KDE are yours :-)

 - Nadim

Hello,

I suggest to be the next coordinator. My name is Youssef Chahibi and
participate in Arabeyes. I currently coordinate KDE and work on the wordlist
and glossary project in Arabeyes.

Ok. Please, get yourself an account in our Bugzilla
(http://bugzilla.gnome.org/), and let us know your account name once
done (the account name is the e-mail address you used for registering
the Bugzilla account). Furthermore, we would also like you to
subscribe to this mailing list
(http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n) if you have not
already done so, since we require all coordinators to be subscribed.

I am going to follow the needed step to get a CVS access.

A CVS account is a later issue; first we need to solve the
coordinatorship. Then the new coordinator can possibly have an account
once he or she has contributed translations. Please see
http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/RequestingAnAccount .

So, to summarize, the current situation is that right now we have two
candidates for the Arabic team coordinator position in GNOME;
'sinplomo' and Youssef Chahibi.

Youssef, I have made you the new Arabic coordinator in GNOME now. I
have updated the http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gtp/teams.html
page; please make sure the listing is correct. Furthermore, I have
updated the component in Bugzilla,
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=l10n , that
can be used for bug reporting. Please also verify the correctness of
that listing.

You're most welcome as the new Arabic coordinator. The rules for
translator CVS access can be found at
http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/RequestingAnAccount , as you
can see, you will have to contribute some complete translations and
have had them committed to GNOME CVS before you can have an account of
yourself. Just send an URL with the translations that you want added
to this list and ask for someone to commit the translations for you.
When you feel that you've contributed enough complete translations to
fulfill the requirements listed on the RequestingAnAccount page, then
send an account request as mentioned in the instructions.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, either here
on this list (gnome-i18n) or on the #i18n channel on irc.gnome.org.

Thanks,
Christian

Yes I did resign.I am no longer gnome translation coordinator. My only concern was: who is this person? as no name and no further information was mentioned. Will he take coordination away from Arabeyes?- so the question.
Well I wouldn't have reacted in any other way anyway unless he/she mentioned that he/she is Mr/Mrs so and soAnd he/she was in contact with Arabeyes for some time.So normally you should be happy that I still think about you and Arabeyes even if I am not officially part of it anymore...

السلام عليكم

sinplomo would like to maintain Gnome in Arabeyes because there is
nobody
doing that and that there are new contributors who would like to work on
Gnome in Arabeyes. I would have done it myself if he didn't accept. There is
no problem if you would like to coordinate Gnome again. From
http://lists.arabeyes.org/archives/doc/2006/June/msg9.html , you said
clairly that you resigned. I sent you an email to announce your resignation
in Gnome-i18n, but I received no reply.

Sinplomo: Sorry for the inconvenience, I tought Arafat resigned based on
http://lists.arabeyes.org/archives/doc/2006/June/msg9.html and because
Gnome Arabization is inactive .
