[Dorset] study material
hello all, i have been studying linux and have achieved LPIC level 1 and have done so using self study materials from sybex.com the only problem is that neither sybex or oreilly publish material for the level 2 exams, i have looked on amazon.co.uk and amazon.com and found nothing, does anyone have any suggestions as to where to get such material. the only other alternative is taking the official course and spending £3,000. any help would be appreciated. -- Next meeting: Somewhere quiet, Bournemouth, ???day 2010-12-?? 20:00 Meets, Mailing list, IRC, LinkedIn, ... http://dorset.lug.org.uk/ How to Report Bugs Effectively: http://goo.gl/4Xue

This any good? http://www.snow.nl/dist/xhtmlc/index.html From the linked page: quote Abstract Audience: this book is intended to help people prepare for the LPIC-2 exam. You will need to have at least 2 years of practical experience with Unix, preferably Linux. Though you may take the LPIC-2 exam without it, you should be an LPIC-1 alumnus to be allowed to the titles and rights that come with the LPIC-2 certification. Approach: We wanted to create a set of documents that could help us and others pass the LPIC-2 exams. This book contains all the information (and more) needed to pass the exam. Sources: Our sources of information were partly material on the Internet. Mostly practical experience of the authors and others and research done by the authors are to be credited. Organization of this book: This book has been organized to follow the Linux Professional Institute level 2 objectives for LPIC-2 certification, first release November 29th 2001, and updated April 1st 2009. The detailed objectives are available via http://www.lpi.org/eng/certification/the_lpic_program/lpic_2. In case the objectives are updated, the book will follow shortly thereafter. The authors use the DocBook documentation standard for this book. /quote Sean -- music, film, comics, books, rants and drivel: www.funkygibbins.me.uk -- Next meeting: Somewhere quiet, Bournemouth, ???day 2010-12-?? 20:00 Meets, Mailing list, IRC, LinkedIn, ... http://dorset.lug.org.uk/ How to Report Bugs Effectively: http://goo.gl/4Xue

Nicky These people should be able to help you: http://www.linuxit.com/services/delivery-services/training They had an article about training in the Linux Advantage, which made me aware of this. I've no idea what costs are involved though.
