here you are: 1) Show dovecot -n output # 1.2.4: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux 2.6.27.19-5-pae i686 SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (i586) ext3 protocols: imap pop3 imaps managesieve ssl_cert_file: /etc/ssl/server.crt ssl_key_file: /etc/ssl/server.key disable_plaintext_auth: no login_dir: /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/var/run/dovecot/login login_executable(default): /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/libexec/dovecot/imap-login login_executable(imap): /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/libexec/dovecot/imap-login login_executable(pop3): /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/libexec/dovecot/pop3-login login_executable(managesieve): /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/libexec/dovecot/managesieve-login mail_max_userip_connections(default): 150 mail_max_userip_connections(imap): 150 mail_max_userip_connections(pop3): 10 mail_max_userip_connections(managesieve): 10 mail_location: maildir:/var/spool/imap/%n:INDEX=%h/Maildir/shared/%%u mail_executable(default): /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/libexec/dovecot/imap mail_executable(imap): /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/libexec/dovecot/imap mail_executable(pop3): /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/libexec/dovecot/pop3 mail_executable(managesieve): /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/libexec/dovecot/managesieve mail_plugins(default): acl imap_acl mail_plugins(imap): acl imap_acl mail_plugins(pop3): mail_plugins(managesieve): mail_plugin_dir(default): /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/lib/dovecot/imap mail_plugin_dir(imap): /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/lib/dovecot/imap mail_plugin_dir(pop3): /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/lib/dovecot/pop3 mail_plugin_dir(managesieve): /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/lib/dovecot/managesieve namespace: type: private separator: / inbox: yes list: yes subscriptions: yes namespace: type: shared separator: / prefix: shared/%%n location: maildir:%%h:INDEX=~/shared/%%n list: children lda: mail_plugins: sieve acl postmaster_address: postmas...@badiburg.de auth default: passdb: driver: sql args: /etc/dovecot/dovecot-sql.conf userdb: driver: sql args: /etc/dovecot/dovecot-sql.conf socket: type: listen master: path: /usr/local/stow/dovecot-1.2.4/var/run/dovecot/auth-master mode: 384 user: imap plugin: quota: maildir:User quota quota_rule: *:storage=100MB sieve: /var/lib/sieve/%n.sieve acl: vfile acl_anyone: allow acl_shared_dict: file:/var/lib/dovecot/shared-mailboxes.db 2) Show the IMAP traffic of the LIST and LSUB commands' output. You could also do it manually: list: snip * LIST (\Noselect) / shared/ed * LIST (\HasChildren) / shared/edv * LIST (\HasNoChildren) / shared/edvINBOX /snip reduced output to where the magic happens. two appereances which are totally senseless to me. lsub: snip * LSUB () / shared/edvINBOX * LSUB () / shared/edv /snip also reduced. hth, hendrik -- LWsystems GmbH Co. [Dovecot] listing available subscriptions - shared mailboxes
hi everybody, got a strange issue with 1.2.4 on SLES11. When listing the user's available subscriptions with any client, every shared mailbox that can be subscribed is listed twice, once with it's correct name, 'folder' for example. the second appereance is without the last letter of the name, 'folde' for example. strange behaviour, since this happens with any client. i hope somebody know what is wrong here. thanks in advance, hendrik -- LWsystems GmbH Co.
