Title: Message
Wow I find it very interesting
(disturbing) that emptying the temporary storage was able to correct the
problem.. But hey if it works!

Dear Folks that had the same problem that I had, to wit, my dqsd
not working after I had installed the latest version and not being able to
install any version (kept getting error messages, with a grayed area where one
is supposed to type). I had another problem and a support person from
Microsoft (very helpful, very pleasant and patient) helped me solve it. As an
afterthought, I tried to reinstall my dqsd and, lo and behold, it worked!
Here's is what I did:
1. Go to Start,
Run.
2. Type in "%temp%"
without the quotes. Hit OK.
3. Send all the files to
the Recycle Bin. You may have to reboot and run "%temp%" twice to get all the
files deleted.
4. Then, reboot, and try
to install dqsd again. If you are as fortunate as I was, everything should be
as it once was.
Good luck.
