Re: [Drakelist] TR-7 PBT 10K Pots

2010-02-01 Thread Carel PA0CMU

Ron,

Most common used type of these pots overhere in the Netherlands (Europe?) is
the vertical placed (most right picture on my website). How would you like to
adjust them when mounted on the back of the PCB? If you can get the other,
horizontal mounted, model (left pica) you can give it a try.

Re: [Drakelist] TR-7 PBT 10K Pots

2010-02-01 Thread Ron
While poking around my power supply board this weekend with my intermittent
TR7, I thought about change out of the pots. I know I hear that you need to
not only change the pots, but also move the fixed resistors to the rear. So

Is there any reason why you can not just mount the multi-turn pots on the rear
of the PCB thereby saving the extra rework effort of also moving the fixed
resistors?

Thanks to all who replied, have the info that I needed. Better research on
my part would have found this, but nice to have the resource.

Re: [Drakelist] TR-7 PBT 10K Pots

2010-01-31 Thread Joe Pyles
You need one Bourns 1k pot 3296W-1-102LF for the
10 volt adjustment, and 5 Bourns 10k pots
3296W-1-103LF for the passband frequency adjustments.
They are $2.19 each at Newark. You also have to
move the resistors in between the original pots to the backside of the board.

Here is a link to a website that has very good pictures of this.
