[Regression bisected] v6.3-rc4 Error scheduling IBs after resume from hibernate

2023-03-30 Thread Julian Wollrath
Hi,

on an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U / Renoir (amdgpu: added device
1002:1636) I the screen basically freezes and I get the
following errors with kernel v6.3-rc4

[ 26.214541] amdgpu :03:00.0: [drm:amdgpu_ib_ring_tests [amdgpu]] *ERROR*
IB test failed on gfx_low (-110).
[ 26.379624] [drm] ring 0 timeout to preempt ib
[ 27.387884] amdgpu :03:00.0: [drm:amdgpu_ib_ring_tests [amdgpu]] *ERROR*
IB test failed on gfx_high (-110).
[ 27.392945] [drm:process_one_work] *ERROR* ib ring test failed (-110).
[ 27.400370] amdgpu :03:00.0: amdgpu: couldn't schedule ib on ring

[ 27.400384] [drm:amdgpu_job_run [amdgpu]] *ERROR* Error scheduling
IBs (-22)
[ 44.440532] amdgpu :03:00.0: amdgpu: failed to write reg 28b4 wait reg
28c6
[ 61.177118] amdgpu :03:00.0: amdgpu: failed to write reg 1a6f4 wait reg
1a706
[ 61.189275] amdgpu :03:00.0: amdgpu: couldn't schedule ib on ring

[ 61.189286] [drm:amdgpu_job_run [amdgpu]] *ERROR* Error scheduling
IBs (-22)

I bisected the issue, the first bad commit is
b589626674de94d977e81c99bf7905872b991197 reverting it on top
of v6.3-rc4 also fixes the issue.

drm/i915: GPU Hang with kernel v4.14-rc8

2017-11-07 Thread Julian Wollrath
Hi,

I do not have a bugzilla account and do not intend to register in the
bugzilla, therefore, I am sending this e-mail instead. I have got a GPU
hang with kernel v4.14-rc8 "GPU HANG: ecode 7:1:0xecdfbff0, in Xorg
[761], reason: No progress on bcs0, action: reset". The crash dump is
attached.

With best regards,
Julian Wollrath

I saw, that you updated the patches, therefore I tried out the branch

[PATCH 000/165] radeon drm-next patches

2013-06-27 Thread Julian Wollrath
Hi,

I just tried the DPM support out on a E-450 APU (HD6320) and it did not
work like expected. In the terminal everything seemed ok but when I
started a display manager, the screen showed garbage and the system
basically locked up. The radeon and drm related parts of the syslog are
below.

If you need further information, feel free to ask.

I saw, that you updated the patches, therefore I tried out the branch
drm-next-3.11-wip-2 and I got, additionally to the problem mentioned in
my first e-mail, the following warning:

[PATCH 000/165] radeon drm-next patches

2013-06-26 Thread Julian Wollrath

Best regards,
Julian Wollrath

/proc/interrupts shows no sharing between snd_hda_intel and radeon. I
just noticed, that radeon was stated in the trace, therefore I send it
to this mailing list.

Thank you for the response and sorry for the noise.

/proc/interrupts shows no sharing between snd_hda_intel and radeon. I
just noticed, that radeon was stated in the trace, therefore I send it
to this mailing list.

Thank you for the response and sorry for the noise.
