RE: [dspace-community] Sort the collections

2023-07-11 Thread Fitchett, Deborah
I had a vague feeling this functionality isn’t in DSpace 7 unless it’s been
added to one of the later versions.

If you don’t find existing functionality allowing it, then you could ‘hack’ it
by adding the month number to the start of the collection name. Eg “01
January”, “02 February” etc.

Subject: [dspace-community] Sort the collections

You don't often get email from
bshanthigovin...@gmail.com. Learn why this
is important

Caution: This email originated from outside our organisation. Do not click
links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content
is safe.

I request you to help me to sort the collections within a subcommunity in the
month wise order ie (January, February, march December).

In Dspace it sorts alphabetcally, Please help me to sort as per the calendar
year.

thanks

Shanthi

[dspace-community] Access control / resource policies / authorizations

2023-07-11 Thread apbw
Where's the best place to learn about fine-tuning user/group access to
communities, collections, and items in DSpace?

For instance, if you want all community names & intro texts listed on the
home page for all users, including anonymous users, but want more granular
control over which subcommunities, collections, and items are browsable by
the public, what are some good resources to learn about the best way to
achieve the desired result?

I'm not finding much detail at https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x,
but I wonder if certain basic foundational topics like this are covered
elsewhere or in earlier documentation and I'm not using the right search
methods.
