Hello.

Password is
*dspace*

However I tried to log in and it only works for admin.
I logged in with that and checked the submitter account.
It does not seem to exist and that's probably
some kind of bug. I hope someone responsible for maintaining
demo site can look into it. I don't know why would it be gone..
perhaps someone mistakenly deleted it.

[dspace-community] Collection Authorization - DSpace - 7.6.1

Hi, 

*Collection Authorization* issue is present in *DSpace - 7.6.1* when we try 
to give Authorization to particular collection.

The Steps I followed for Collection Authorization are

1. Created a community and collection, to that collection I wanted a user 
to get access to that collection except others and even I tried by creating 
the group and adding the user to that group.

2.  I tried giving Authorizations accordingly

*First way*  
Edit Collection --> Access Control  
Item's Metadata --> Replace access conditions --> openaccess
Bitstreams --> Replace access conditions --> administrator
So I tried this way where only the admin will be have the access to the 
files.
After that I tried adding that particular user in the Authorizations Tab
Add --> Read access --> Type_custom --> Default_bistream_read --> e-person 
--> save
 
*Second Way*
Edit Collection --> Assign Roles --> Default Bitstream read access --> 
Restrict
To that collection group I have added the e-person once and I tried and for 
the other time i added the group and tried both are not working
So by trying this way also I am unable to give the read access to the 
e-person

Whether I am making any mistake in the process.

Please guide me to resolve this issue.

publication on the demo site (https://demo.dspace.org/home), using the 
login dspacedemo+sub...@gmail.com, but when I enter the *name of this 
software in lowercase* as password, it does not seem to work. I've tried 
also with 7 at the end, and with "blanck character and 7" at the end, none 
is working. Could you help please? Thank you very much! Best regards

I've just reset the demo site at https://demo.dspace.org/  The sample/demo 
logins should all work now.

Because this demo site has _completely public_ logins, sometimes someone will 
delete one of these accounts, change privileges or change passwords.  While we 
do have automatic reset scripts in place for password changes, the content 
itself only resets once per week by default.   But, manual resets (like what I 
just did) are also possible.

I've just reset the demo site at https://demo.dspace.org/  The sample/demo 
logins should all work now.

Because this demo site has _completely public_ logins, sometimes someone 
will delete one of these accounts, change privileges or change passwords.  
While we do have automatic reset scripts in place for password changes, the 
content itself only resets once per week by default.   But, manual resets 
(like what I just did) are also possible.
