[dspace-tech] Need help tool SAF Builder for DSpace-CRIS

I have one SAFBuilder.zip, I batch import to DSpace 5.8 succeed. But when I 
use this file to batch import to DSpace 5.10 not succeed. Please help me 
find another tool or how to fix this tool to DSpace-CRIS. Thanks!

[dspace-tech] dropdown input-type can't be made a required field?

Hi.

I'm on JSPUI 5.9 and I'm trying to make dc.type a required field in
input-forms.xml.

dc.type uses a dropdown input-type with value-pairs. It looks like
You must fill this out. does not work with the
dropdown input-type. I can make other fields required this way, but not the
dc.type field.

This limitation not mentioned in the documentation
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC5x/Submission+User+Interface#SubmissionUserInterface-TheStructureofinput-forms.xml.
Could anyone confirm that this is the case?

Do I need to add this new metadata to a config file?

Now, I for searchability, I wish to tag different subject or keyword to 
different Chapter.E.g, Chapter1 is related to January,Chapter 2 is related 
to Feb and so on.
Is there anyway I can upload this with SAFBuilder?

[dspace-tech] Google sheets power tools for DSpace CSV exports

Hello,

we have released a suite of power tools that allow following
post-processing on CSVs exported from DSpace:

   - removal of authority keys
   - consolidating different columns for the same metadata field (language
   code variations)
   - removing unselected columns

[dspace-tech] New user / amin creation

Hello everybody!

We have been facing some troubles in the procedure regarding the 
registration of a new user and of a new administration.

In the first case, since some time, the system always returns an error 
message after you have entered the email address:
*The email address you have entered is not valid*

no matter which the e-mail address is.

Then, once logged in as the Admin and after having created a new user, 
there is no way to assign a password and, as a consequence, you cannot even 
modify any password.
Furthermore, also the feedback form gives back a system error. 

Is there a simple way to solve these problems?


Our version is 1.8.2.

This site is regarding DSpace Document Management System.
