Re: [dspace-tech] Re: DSpace 7.0 Custom Themes (also posted in developers forum)

2022-06-30 Thread Javier Barcena
Dear, make progress.
I tell you, create a new theme based on custom, that is, create a new
folder and copy all the content of custom. Add my new theme to the
config.prod.yml, commenting out the dspace theme lines. Then I stop the
server with pm2 stop dspace-angular.json command and run yarn run build:prod

After compiling I run pm2 start dspace-angular.json

and I manage to access localhost:4000 with the graphical interface of
theme/dspace and not with the new theme.

when i run yarn start:dev it gives me error 500 on localhost:4000
Thanks in advance.

Re: [dspace-tech] How do I increase the size of files to upload?

2022-06-30 Thread Sean Kalynuk
So, you don’t have an upload issue, but instead have a download issue.

You will want to increase this parameter in your local.cfg or dspace.cfg file:

xmlui.content_disposition_threshold

See:

The version is 6.3, what I do is upload videos and then be able to have a
gallery to view them. when I upload videos smaller than 5Mb they play without
problem, when they are larger they don't play but are downloaded automatically.
I need to be able to view all the videos as if they were all the same size.

Thanks

Re: [dspace-tech] Submission Form - controlled input values

2022-06-30 Thread 'Agustín Alfieri' via DSpace Technical Support
Hi Sean,

Kim Shepherd told me something similar in Slack so I've researched "regex"
validation a little bit and it's seems like it could be the solution to my
problem. I'm going to try to backport it to Dspace 6, but if I can't make
it work I may migrate to Dspace 7. The only reason why I didn't do it
before is that I needed the type-bind feature and now with 7.3 seems to be
available.

Thank you for your help!

Agustín.

[dspace-tech] REST Upload Bitstream with Angular

2022-06-30 Thread kpet
 Hello,

I have a DSpace 6.3 installed on a linux machine, using tomcat 9, jre 1.8,
ant 1.10 and maven 3.3.9.

I want to upload a bitstream through an angular frontend application using
DSpace 6 REST API.

However, I am not quite sure what kind of data the API expects at the POST
endpoint with url "/rest/items/{item uuid}/bitstreams".

Is it some kind of form data or is it a binary file directly?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

dspace database info shows all success, except one that is Ignored:
 Versioned | 5.99.2020.12.28 | cleanup old dspacecris5
 | JDBC

 My ReadWritePaths do contain my dspace directory as well:
ReadWritePaths=/etc/tomcat9/Catalina/
ReadWritePaths=/var/lib/tomcat9/webapps/
ReadWritePaths=/var/log/tomcat9/
ReadWritePaths=/dspace/

This was a fresh install, yes. On Ubuntu. My gut feeling is that it is
permission related, but just can't put my finger on it.

2022-06-30 Thread Plate, Michael
Hi Eldridge,

well I'm out of imagination here.
The errors look common (have the same), but it works…so far. We will see what
happens when I import something.

dspace database info

shows "Success" ? Is this a new install ? Maybe you should start from scratch.
Maybe we should wait for the new CRIS based on DSpace 7.3…

I've stumbled upon the "permissions" problem in your other mail before, not
sure if there is a connection - this might be a systemd problem and is not only
related too CRIS:
find your tomcat9 service file (mine is
/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/tomcat9.service) and append
ReadWritePaths for your DSpace folders - mine looks like this:
ReadWritePaths=/etc/tomcat9/Catalina/
ReadWritePaths=/var/lib/tomcat9/webapps/
ReadWritePaths=/var/log/tomcat9/
ReadWritePaths=/home/dspace
ReadWritePaths=/var/lib/dspace

This solved my "permissions" problems.
