Re: [dspace-tech] How to fix ssl error

2022-04-01 Thread Chalew Tesfaye
Actually, you can bypass at advanced option. But, for DSpace 7.2 a
self-signed certificate doesn't work for me. If your domain is public or
registered you may consider using a free certificate provider such as
letsencrypt <https://letsencrypt.org/>.

Running DSpace on Centos8 could require that command, depending on your
mail provider, as far as TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are deprecated and a legacy mode
 is needed.

This solved the issue to me, using SMTPS under TLS on port 465

[dspace-tech] Making SSL/HTTPS requirement optional for intranet use

2022-02-25 Thread Chalew Tesfaye
I have installed Dspace 7.2 and working fine from the localhost domain.
When I try in production I end up with a 403/forbidden error and actually,
the documentation says it has to be configured with HTTPS. I tried a
self-signed certificate, still I didn't get right. *Is there a
way/configuration that makes SSL/HTTPS requirements optional for intranet
use? *
Your comment ...

Thanks in advance.
