I can listed all Articles from metadatavalue table where
 metadata_field_id = 66 and text_value = Article

If I change all text_value fields to article which I can listed like

 Thanks for any advice.

[Dspace-tech] Moving collections in DSpace = 4.0?

2015-03-18 Thread Alan Orth
Hi,

I'm wondering how to move a collection to a new community in DSpace
versions = 4.0. In the past, with DSpace 3.x, I would simply[0] find the
resource_id for the collection, its parent, and the new parent, then update
the relationships in SQL:

UPDATE community2collection SET community_id=$NEW_PARENT WHERE
community_id=$OLD_PARENT and collection_id=$COLLECTION;

Assuming I update Solr afterwards using`dspace index-discovery` is that
sufficient? Is it perhaps required to do a complete re-index with the -b
flag?

Thanks,

Alan

[0] For finding the resource_id of each handle:

SELECT resource_id FROM handle WHERE handle = '123456789/11287';

Re: [Dspace-tech] OAI server could not be reached in DSpace 5.2

2015-03-18 Thread Ruben

Hi Stuart,

Thanks for your response. Yes, we use a proxy, but I configured this
DSpace with the same pattern than the others DSpaces that we have in the
same network. The VM in which DSpace is hosted have the proxy variables
set up and have connection to outside, and in dspace.cfg I filled out
this parameters:

# proxy server for external http requests - use regular hostname without
port number

http.proxy.host = ip_proxy

# port number of proxy server
http.proxy.port = port_proxy

Do you know how to be sure this issue is related with proxy settings?

Hi all,

I installed a new DSpace 5.2 with Mirage2 and now is running with a
database upgraded from DSpace 1.7. All works well except OAI
harvesting, which when I try to enter OAI Harvest URL and OAI Set Id
and save it, shows the message OAI server could not be reached. I
tried to run dspace bin doing a ping test onto this set_id-harvest_url
pair and the message was the same. I'm sure this URL is reachable
because I tried to harvest it at http://demo.dspace.org
http://demo.dspace.org/ and this message is not showed. OAI
interface is enabled because I can access to
url_base/oai/request?verb=Identify, and proxy configs were set up
well, so I don't know what's happening...

Someone can help me?

Thanks in advance

Re: [Dspace-tech] Modules?

2015-03-18 Thread Alan Orth
Hey, Susan.

Yes, we definitely use modules for overrides. Our institutional DSpace
repository makes heavy use of modules for our XMLUI themes (~20 of them
right now). The source code is publicly available here:

http://github.com/ilri/DSpace

I haven't tried overriding anything other than that, though...

[Dspace-tech] Local IP Geolocalization on Solr

2015-03-18 Thread Cadmus, Mail Account

Dear All,

I'm trying to solve an issue on Solr stats Dspace 1.8.2. This issue is
regarding the way of Solr to count country and city. Our Dspace is running
under a proxy, so we have set in dspace.cfg the parameter useProxies = true.
Unfortunately the Geolocalization doesn't recognize any connections from our
inside LAN (192.168.*.*). Is there any specific configuration file where is
possible to declare on-Campus IP range to count country and city from inside my
Institution?

Many Thanks

Best regards

Hi Pablo,

DSpaceWebappServletFilter is part of dspace-services, which is a different
layer than JSPUI. So, if you wanted to create a Java class, or servlet to
match a custom url, then follow Tim's advice, customize web.xml in
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/master/dspace-jspui/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml

You could add a regex at the root, but you'll have to filter out all of the
legitimate/necessary functions of JSPUI, it might be easier to add a
prefix, such as domain.com/featureA/1234-5678, then your pattern can be:

  servlet-mapping
servlet-namefeatureA/servlet-name
url-pattern/featureA/*/url-pattern
  /servlet-mapping

And declare your featureA servlet:
 servlet
servlet-namefeatureA/servlet-name

servlet-classorg.dspace.app.webui.servlet.FeatureAServlet/servlet-class
  /servlet

And create a Java class
dspace-jspui/src/main/java/org/dspace/app/webui/servlet/FeatureAServlet.java

I would copy something like HandleServlet, and see how it has method
doDSGet, and it gets the requested url through request.getPathInfo(), which
will be the users secret code.

Also, keep in mind, you could always use rewrite rules in nginx or apache,
to bounce traffic around to where you want it, and that might be easier to
manage too. i.e. regex to bounce domain.com/1234-5678 to
domain.com/code/1234-5678

Does anyone use the “Modules” option for

I don't think you can use the modules for configuration files.

This suggests to me that you're running this on a machine that is
behind a mandatory authenticated proxy. You'll need to set this up
in your maven settings file (~/.m2/settings.xml if you are on a
Linux machine). See
http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-proxies.html

cheers,
Andrea

Can somebody tell me how to add reason of rejection to submitters home page
or remove the reason part itself from the reviewers page.
