Much of these personalizations are independent of dwm. A scheme that you find
attractive would continue to be attractive in nearly any tiling window manager.
The same would be true of a scheme you found unattractive.

The xmonad community already has a page of screenshots:

  http://haskell.org/haskellwiki/Xmonad/Screenshots

And more particularly a page of user configurations:

  http://haskell.org/haskellwiki/Xmonad/Config_archive

If we are displaying color schemes and the like I would really love to see the
various tiling wm communities find a means of "sharing the wealth".

An online repository of .Xdefaults, .vimrc, and config.h, is a great
idea. I would love to contribute to it. Would it be easy to upload
these files to the wiki or would we have to think of some other way of
showing them?

I definitely like the idea of a wiki showing dwm/shell/vim color schemes.
Also, a list of some cool scripts for status text will give a head start to
some of us who have just time being displayed there :).

Perhaps adding the option to attach .Xdefaults/.Xresources along with .vimrc
and whatever else might be relevant when discussing color themes.

I like the user-gallery idea.

I also really like the idea, especially if there would be some
"configuration-sharing" for dwm. Like this one could see how different
color combinations look on the desktop and thus give some inspiration to
other users.

Just my two cents, but to me having those different colors there makes
it look like dwm naturally tints unfocused windows with pretty colors.

Hello,

How about replacing the screenshot on http://dwm.suckless.org with
something like this, so it's easy to see what's going on even when
looking at the thumbnail?
