Tämä on hyvä kysymys, siis se, mikä on etenemisen muoto. Normaalisti kuultuna meteorscatter ja lyhyt Es eivät paljoakaan eroa. Ja noitten kirkkoasemien kohdalla nähtiin, että aivan MUFfin rajamailla oleva F2-heijastumakin tulee vielä tähän samaan kategoriaan mukaan. Olen koettanut tutkia asiaa tuolla Studio1-ohjelman kokoruudun tarkalla vesiputousnäytöllä. Meteoriheijastuman jälki siinä nousee hyvin jyrkästi ja on vahvasti rosoreunainen doppler tämän tekee, kivellähän on melkoinen vauhti ilmakehään tullessaan. Es tulee esiin huomattavasti pehmeämmin ja on melko tasainen ja tasalaatuinen harvoin tämä edes feidaa kunnolla. Max 1-2 minuutin töhäys voisi olla hyvinkin ajallisesti meteori, 3-4 minuuttia tai yli Es tai joku muu. Mutta miten tuo 3-4 minuutin Es-töhäys muodostuu (?) kun esim. DX Maps tai FM List ei mitään muuta vastaavaa ko. aikana näytä onkin sitten hankalampi juttu selvittää, meteorille ehkä liian pitkä aika kuitenkin tai sitten erittäin harvinainen tapaus muutoin. Mutta varmaa tämänkään teorian pohja ei ole vain pelkkä olettamus. Mutta asiaa täytynee tutkiskella. Koko Es-heijastumahan on muutoinkin vain vahvistamattomien teorioiden varassa mitään 90-100 % vahvistettua ja todistettua teoriaa en ole tästä nähnyt. Meteoripöly on tässä kyllä se alku, josta kaikki lähtee mutta kovin reaaliaikaista vaikutusta on melko vaikea nähdä. Meteorisade voi ehkä joissain olosuhteissa auttaa asiaa ehkä tiivistää pilviä? Jonkinlaista vaikutusta on myös epäilty olevan Keski-Euroopan kovilla ukkosrintamilla. Ajattelin joskus syksyllä tutkia asiaa hieman lisää ja kasata jonkun artikkelin tästä kunhan olen päässyt sinuksi teorian ja käytännön kanssa. Täällä Etelä- Suomessa (15 km merelle) bandit ovat kovin täynnä virolaiset paikallisasemat täyttävät tyhjät taajuudet melko hyvin. Joten esim. Keski-Suomessa useinkin on paremmat edellytykset kuuntelulle Viron rannikko on jo sopivan kaukana. Mutta onhan noita paikallisia täälläkin pilvin pimein siis soittorasioita. Ja mikä myös hyvää, on että Puolan isoja myllyjä ei ole tuolla taajuudella poukkoilemassa koko ajan meteoreina.
