Hi Jim, I just did a Google search for low loss cable and got 392,000 hits! Most popular, of course, will be the first few hits. Try this one: radioworks.com/ccoax.html. [DX-CHAT] to crimp or not
The day I crimp a coax connector will be the day of my cremation. 73 Charles Harpole [EMAIL PROTECTED] From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Re: [DX-CHAT] Cable X-perts out of busines Date: Sat, 1 Mar 2008 08:25:47 -0500 I use crimp connectors on RG-58 size cable and have never had a failure, but I haven't used them outside. The tool was about $50, I think, so it doesn't take many pigtails to pay back its cost. You can, of course buy lower loss coax. My club has dozens of jumpers in our repeaters. One of the standard sources for iindustry is Pasternack, but they are expensive. It would be great for several hams, or a club, to share a crimper. RF Connectors is a relatively cheap connector source. rfindustries.com 800 233 1728.
