Re: [DX-CHAT] ARRL

I think a couple key words below are may be considered.
I think they could have said will be sufficient ! Looks like wiggle room to
me.

To complete the contest of the DXCC rule: and may be considered sufficient
reason to deny ARRL award credit for contacts with any station for which
such presentations have been made.

One can publish whatever one chooses on one's WEB site but one will have to
live with the consequence of one's actions.

[DX-CHAT] Permission issues

Too much assuming going on on this whole issue I think.
To many unknown facts to make fair judgments.

my tax dollars did some freakin' good for me for a change. Cripes.
Egos be damned.

Egos? Iraq and Afghanistan. Huh?

I'm just trying to sort this out ... from what I've read, two guys who
are government contractors weasel a free trip (on Uncle Sam) to a place
where they probably shouldn't be - at least not for ham radio
operating, all in the name of government work. About the time their
little operation gets rolling, somebody in West Virginia rats them out.

Weasel a free trip Am I missing something here? These guys do
contract work in the employ of a subcontractor if I understand things
correctly. Many DX ops from rare and not so rare do, the fact is they
had a valid reasonn to be there and needed NO authorization other than
their US amateur licenses to opearate. Boy, waht a luxury trip we
taxpayers paid for.

Meanwhile, the response of many of the leading DXers in the US seems to
be to get even with the guy who ratted the operation out with
somewhat less concern for condemning the ill-advised nature of the
operation and how this might endanger future DXpeditions.

Ill advised? Am I missing something here? The person
who made it a federal case (ego) is the one who caused the damage in
this case.

Have I summed it up correctly or am I missing something?

No and Yes. Sorry we diagree Jeff..

Hello to All, I am sorry for the email that I sent

happen and my kids have been playing with my computer. So please disregard the
receipt. Thanks and again I'm sorry.
