well as new entry's calls, as resulted from our research, suggestions and 
help given by several dozens of Supporters.


This is a unique tool, product of over 25 years of continuous study on 
Antarctic activities, and we are proud to leave it to the Antarctic lovers, 
enthusiasts, students, philatelic collectors and all of those who feel 
affection for Antarctica, as we do.

3Y0 - The DXpedition to Peter I (3Y0X) has been given a substantial  grant
  by the ARRL/Colvin  Award, which is  is important  to their  overall
  DXpedition financing. The team has been assigned the special Chilean
  Antarctic call sign of XR9A for use to/from Peter I. They hope to be
  QRV from Punta Arenas for a few days and then maritime mobile to and
  from the island. There is a  possibility that the team will also  be
  QRV from the South Shetlands for a few days after the DXpedition  is
  complete. The latest first hand news and updates on 3Y0X, as well as
  information on how to contribute to the DXpedition, can be found  at

6O  - The 6O0N team of operators [425DXN  759] now includes I1HJT,  I2YSB,
  IK1AOD, IK1HJS, IK2DIA, IK2CIO and IK2CKR. They expect to arrive  at
  Galkayo around noon on 19 January  and to be QRV  with the first  of
  their three stations in the late  afternoon. Plans are to be  active
  until 1 February, as their flight back is scheduled to leave on  the
  2nd. Look for 6O0N to participate  in the CQ WW  160M CW Contest  on

C6  - Bob/N4BP  (C6AKQ),  Kevin/K4PG   (C6APG),  Bruce/W4OV  (C6AOV)   and
  Pete/N8PR (C6AHR) will be active from the Bahamas between 13 and  20
  February. They will participate in the ARRL DX CW Contest as  single
  band entries on 160, 80, 40  and 15 metres. Before the contest  they
  will try to  operate extensively  on the  WARC bands.  QSL via  home

CE  - Salvatore, IZ8CLM will operate in his spare time on the HF bands  as
  CE3/IZ8CLM from Chile until 18 January. [TNX IZ8CCW]
CE0_jf  - Suggested frequencies  for  the 20-28  January  CE0Z  DXpedition  to
  Robinson Crusoe  Island (Juan  Fernandez)  [425DXN 762]  are  50110,
  28040, 24890, 21040, 18080,  14040, 10010, 7020,  3540 and 1820  kHz
  (CW); 50110, 28495, 24945, 21295, 18145, 14195, 7060, 3795 and  1840
  kHz   (SSB).   The   web   site   forthe   expedition   isat

CT3 - Herm, HB9CRV and Rudi, HB9CQL will  operate as CT3FN and  CT3/HB9CQL
  from Madeira Island (AF-014) from 20 January to 1 February. On 21-22
  January Herm  will  operate as  CT3FN/p  from the  Sao  Jorge/Rosais
  lighthouse (ARLHS MAD-008).  QSL via home  calls, direct or  bureau.

EA8 - Members of the Canary Islands  DX Society will  be active (on  10-80
  metres SSB with some RTTY and  PSK 31) as ED8CSF from San  Francisco
  Castle in  Las  Palmas  de  Gran  Canaria  on  22  January.  Further

FT  - Gildas, TU5KG is  back to  the Southern  Indian Ocean  on a  fishing
  boat. Between 15 January and 3  February he will  be sailing in  the
  Kerguelen area, then he will be in the Crozet area until early March
  and back  to Kerguelen  until the  end of  March.  When on  land  he
  expects to operate as FT5XP from  Kerguelen and as (probably)  FT5WK

G   - The call  sign GB1CPB  will be  active through  11 January  2007  on
  various bands and modes to celebrate the 100 years of operation  for
  the Portland  Bill lighthouse  (ARLHS ENG-273).  QSL via  bureau  or

GU  - Paul, F6EXV  and Jan,  DJ8NK will  be active  as MU0EXV  and  GU0VNK
  respectively from  Guernsey  (EU-114) on  20-30  January.  The  will
  operate SSB, CW  and digital modes  on 160-10 metres.  QSL via  home

HB0 - Look for HB0/T93M  (N4EXA), HB0/T93Y,  HB0/T94DX (DJ2MX),  HB0/T94JJ
  (OE1EMS) and  HB0/T96Q  to operate  from  Liechtenstein  between  25
  January and 2 February. They will participate in the CQ WW 160 Meter

3Y0X NEWS (Update: PRESS RELEASE  2006-5). Ralph/KØIR and Bob/K4UEE,
Peter I DXpedition co-leaders, sent out the following press release dated
January 10th, 2006: We are pleased to announce that the 3Y0X DXpedition
has been given a substantial grant by the ARRL/Colvin Award. This is a
prestigious award and is important to our overall DXpedition financing.
Our special thanks to the Awards Committee.
   Our twenty-two-man team now includes Wayne, KU4V and Robert, SP5XVY.
Their special expertise rounds out the team.
   Our sea container containing all of our equipment, and most of the
team's  personal gear is aboard the vessel DAP Mares which is now in the
S. Shetland  Islands.  Our foodstuffs are also aboard after being purchased
in Punta  Arenas, Chile.  The team will be reunited with their equipment
and gear on or about February 2nd to begin the 4 day voyage to Peter I.
Remember these dates are target dates and weather dependent.
   The team has been assigned the special Chilean Antarctic callsign of
XR9A for use to/from Peter I.  We hope to be QRV from Punta Arenas for a
few days and then maritime mobile to and from Peter I.  There is also a
possibility  that the team will also be QRV from the S. Shetlands for a
few days after the Peter I DXpedition is complete.

checked often. The website should be considered the best source of updated
and correct DXpedition news direct from the DXpedition leaders.
   We are currently designing a special souvenir  QSL card to commemorate

6O, SOMALIA (Just A Reminder!). Eight Italian operators will operate from
Somalia for two weeks starting January 19th. Operators mentioned are:
Alfeo/I1HJT, Silvano/I2YSB, Carlo/IK1AOD, Carlo/IK1HJS, Vini/IK2CIO,
Angelo/IK2CKR, Marcello/IK2DIA and Adriano/IK2GNW. They will operate as
6O0N (in memory of Adam Nuur Maxamed Islam) with three stations on all
bands SSB, CW and RTTY. QSL via I2YSB, direct (Silvano Borsa,
Vle Capettini 1, 27036 Mortara, Italy) or by the bureau (E-mail requests
