Because those who can influence the DXCC program do so to meet their own agendas and have no regard or respect for the integrity ofDXCC. That integrity has been by degrees whittled away over recent years, such thatDXCC no longer has any magic to it. It used to be that if you wanted to chase islands there was IOTA and if you wanted to chase countries there was DXCC. Then countries became entities and entities resemble IOTA viz Scarborough, Australs, Marquesas, Ducie et al., each time diluting the program. Now Swains. The sad fact is that it will suit those who don't hold dear such things and hence the standard will continue to fall. And if we are to remain Dxers, we have to go with it and make the effort to get it in our logs.
