Re: [DXR] Antenna Materials
Just off the top, I'd guess that it is going to oxidize more quickly than aluminum, so any connections would need to be soldered/sweated. Secondly, it is going to be a lot heavier.. [DXR] off topic: to IC746 756 Users
hi! i'm looking for a honest answer from guys who worked both on ic746 and 756 or who can describe (in an easy to understand language) which one of those trx is better I can either buy a new ic746 or a 2/3 years old 756 for the same price, i'd rather go for the new trx.. but.. there is that "but". What are the real differences between those two? (except of 2m) if someone can help i'd be thankful. last when i asked abt the 746 i got few opinions like : better buy 756. But Why? -- 73 de SQ5EBM Maciej "Miles" Muszalski http://mushal.luftbrandzlung.org Subscribe/unsubscribe, feedback, FAQ, problems http://njdxa.org/dx-news To post a message, DX NEWS items only, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives available at http://www.mail-archive.com/dx-news%40pro-usa.net/ This is the DXR reflector sponsored by the NJDXA http://njdxa.org
Re: [DXR] 5H3RK - good or Slim?
Hi Dave, Happy that you have received 5H3RK's Dar es Salaam address. I have received a QSL from him for each band/mode worked promptly. The word "inconnu" is actually French. In essence it means the addressee is unknown. 73, Harry At 06:02 9/3/01 -0500, David M. Monfried wrote: >I worked 5H3RK in April 2001. [DXR] 5H3RK - thanks to all
This reflector is really extraordinary! Within an hour of my post asking how to QSL 5H3RK, I've received more than 20 responses! My thanks to all. It seems that almost all of the responders 1) have worked Ralph in 2001 and 2) QSLs go direct to his Dar-es-Salaam address. 73, Dave, W2PK Subscribe/unsubscribe, feedback, FAQ, problems http://njdxa.org/dx-news To post a message, DX NEWS items only, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives available at http://www.mail-archive.com/dx-news%40pro-usa.net/ This is the DXR reflector sponsored by the NJDXA http://njdxa.org

[DXR] 5H3RK - good or Slim?
I worked 5H3RK in April 2001. QSL mgr. is listed as SM0LRK - but my QSL was returned for some reason I can't fathom in the Swedish language ("Inconnu"). Now I can find no record of activity from 5H3RK for 2001; last listed activity on DX Summit and elsewhere is 1999. Was he the real thing or the real Slim? Thanks.
