[Dx4win] Help: Yaesu FT-897 CAT control not communicating with DX4Win
Hello all, I was chatting the other day with VE7QC and he was wondering the same thing. Both of us knowing that many of the rig drivers are the same, he checked a few out (Yeasu ones) and found that the driver for the FT-847 works when set to 4800 baud rate. 73 de Steve, NR4M At 11:02 AM 2/28/2003 -0600, Victor West wrote: >I too am waiting for a driver for the FT-897. > >de Vic, AE5DX > > >- Original Message - >From: "Erik Mellgren" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: >Sent: Thursday, February 27, 2003 4:25 PM >Subject: [Dx4win] Help: Yaesu FT-897 CAT control not communicating with >DX4Win > > > > DX4WIN has no radio setting for my Yaesu FT-897 rig. To add a bit more, I noticed that DX4WIN reads SSB when the FT897 is set to the digital modes. Just passing this on for info. No problem for me. de Vic, AE5DX - Original Message - From: "Victor West" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Erik Mellgren" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; ; "Steve Bookout" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, February 28, 2003 7:09 PM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Help: Yaesu FT-897 CAT control not communicating with DX4Win > Tnx Steve > > Just tried it and it appears to work fine. [Dx4win] Help: Yaesu FT-897 CAT control not communicating with DX4Win
Tnx Steve Just tried it and it appears to work fine. Reads band and mode OK from the radio and setting the frequency appears to work. Clicking on a spot appears to work OK. I "copied" the FT847 in the radio database, then changed the baud rate and renamed it to FT897. de Vic, AE5DX - Original Message - From: "Steve Bookout" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Victor West" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "Erik Mellgren" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Sent: Friday, February 28, 2003 6:24 PM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Help: Yaesu FT-897 CAT control not communicating with DX4Win > Hello all, > > I was chatting the other day with VE7QC and he was wondering the same > thing. [Dx4win] Country window
Hi Rick, It's working here. Version 6.01 under Windows 98SE. For example, if I start typing in CO, as soon as I hit the "O" I see the bands fill in, in the Country window, and the IOTA window also propagates. [Dx4win] Re: Country window
Thanks to N1RJ and W8TTS for the answer. Simple. Go to the QSO window in PREFERENCES and make sure callsign update is checked. 73 Rick, N6ND
[Dx4win] Country window
One of the things that didn't survive the development of version 6 is when you start to type a call into the logging window, the country window would show you what bands /modes you have that country on as soon as you enter the prefix. With version 6, it doesn't update the country window until you exit the callsign portion of the logging window. I really liked the way that worked in version 5 and would like to see it brought back. 73 Rick, N6ND
